It's hard to see on camera shots but there is a small rise just before the corner it went off (Molecombe) and they do say by the time you can see it, it's too late to slow down. The articles don't say who was driving so maybe someone inexperienced with Goodwood?

If you like your cars then yes, you most definitely should. I’ve done the Revival once and FoS 3 times now and every time has been fantastic. It’s expensive for what it is but there’s nothing like it.

If you, or anyone else, are thinking of doing the FoS, I would recommend doing the full 4 days. Thursday is by far the quieter day so it’s a good day to wander round the show, stands, displays or the ride alongs etc. with anything you missed catch up on the Friday. The cars typically run up the hill multiple times each day so you don’t particularly miss anything by not watching the runs on Thursday or Friday. Saturday begins the timed runs so drivers start pushing but you get all the demo runs still with Sunday being the day you want to watch th le hill. For demo runs I’d say the stand outside the house is the best as that typically where drivers doughnut and show off. The start line is also good for the demo runs. For the timed runs, Molecombe is the best IMO. It’s a tricky corner so a good one to watch drivers navigate plus there’s usually a big screen opposite so you can easily watch the full run too.

We normally wait for Lemans and F1 dates to come out then book a hotel on the weekend in between. Normally get a good deal then before everyone twigs and prices go up. Make sure you come in from the North so you get to the best car park and get in early to avoid queues. I haven't been since 18 mainly due to covid and kids but have been several times. When we went in 16 the weather is what it is like this weekend but then the next year it was pure sunshine. When it is wet it isn't that much fun although enjoyable watching people falling down whilst we cruise past them in our wellies. Most of the air displays etc also get cancelled. This is always the problem with outdoor events however especially ones that you need to book so far in advance.

Hoping to go next year however looking to book a small house to go with a few mates who have never been.

You need at least a minimum of two days to see everything but going to all 4 is normally the best.

No official reason has been given yet, but looks like the wheels locked under braking, or the brakes failed as it just didn't slow at all.

It is what happens when you have a car with the power of a super car but with the weight of a Range Rover. You turn but physics take over and you go straight on. Especially if you don't have much grip.

Max having fun in Iracing.

One of the most egocentric and arrogant F1 drivers we’ve had in a while that, in real life racing, has forced drivers off track and brake checked them in a race is also a bit of a tool in virtual racing? I am shocked! SHOCKED!

Actually I sort of am shocked as Max seems to race cleaner in sim racing than real life :D

But similar simracing incidents, and especially in iRacing, has seen drivers get banned from the game but doubt it’ll happen to Max.

I think its a hosted league race, so dont know if any protests etc apply. Believe the official Iracing Spa24 is next week .

At least theres no argument over his intent, he could have been much subtler about it the next time he came across the other driver.

Was a good race overall. The indycar races are normally good value, I wish more people would watch them.

Yeah I barely miss one now, always handy that they're a Sat/Sun evening in the UK, double header next weekend!

He's not having a great run of late. I wonder if he'll be an Andretti driver next year?

Yeah you've got to wonder, especially when there's loads of other talent around (albeit not sure of other driver's contractual status) - I do feel if he got his first win it might calm him down a little, he's been so close a few times this year.

lol :D I saw the article about that but thought the mods wouldn't like a pearoast about it. I'm not saying people don't tilt, or rage when gaming online but the boy clearly has anger issues, end of story.

It's that time of the year again (?) where rumours start circulating about cost caps

Three teams mentioned appear to be Aston Martin, Mercedes and Red Bull. https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/2264...red-bull-are-among-three-teams-in-danger.html

Could get very tasty indeed if RB are found to have breached the cap again, sounds like Marko might be giving them an accounting problem, as well as a reputational problem!

I'll believe it all when it's actually announced, most of the rumours last year were rubbish
