You dont want to then invite even more questions about an investigation which has been closed pending appeal.

Inviting more questions is exactly what he's done though, by acknowledging it, not refuting it, saying he doesn't want to comment and then reiterating the investigation cleared him :p

That statement is absolutely going to do the opposite of calming things down and making it go away.

@chrismscotland and @cuke2u I’m curious as to your reactions to my post. Do you not agree that a CEO having an affair with an employee is a sackable offence?

Someone at my parent company did exactly that and was gone on a Sunday afternoon with immediate effect. He was well known, well respected and worked for a company arguably more well known than RB.

I don’t really care what Horner says and I’m not going to waste time reading into it. Bu like I say, if the leaks prove to be true, and prove he had an affair - then he should go.

I don't to be honest, no. I think for me it comes down to consensual or not; regardless of someone's position personally, I've seen plenty of this kind of huge firms I've worked in.
Generally its someone's private life, although I've not seen any complaints/HR action because of it.

That said Finance has always been its own breed of industry.

But like I said, he could say its fake and its not going to change anyone going on about it or asking more questions due to the disgusting human nature and social media hit force.
So he refuted any new speculation and nonsense flying around and reminding people of an investigation he has currently been cleared on.
The questions will always come regardless of what statement he put out.

But there is zero evidence to support anything of the sort you are suggesting with Horner, just internet gossip, and this is what's being discussed in here...

But he didn't refute it, that's the point. He said he wouldn't comment on it.

Plenty of people will interpret that as him admitting whatever is in that leak is legit because it was such an easy opportunity to point out it was fake.

It'll make the whole drama worse than if he'd just said nothing at all and left more doubt in people's minds as to the legitimacy of it.

Do you honestly think that statement is going to do anything other than pour fuel on the fire?

I think this is pressure now. I bet there's lots more to come. Gonna be an interesting conversation he has with Geri tonight after, probably, denying everything for the last month.

Has nybody seen anything other than the 1 screen shot containing several WA chat screen shots?

It's Scam, he has nothing better to do.

None of that matters. People like Scam etc made their minds up weeks ago. If he said nothing, he would look worse to them. If he refuted it, he would look worse to them. If he declined to comment, he would look worse to them. If it turned out to be tabloid BS, he would still look worse to them.

That's how most humans work. So CH can't win regardless, so I literally don't know why everyone on OCUK believes they're a PR specialist now.

Mate I work in the film industry and even we’ve moved on. It’s curtains for him if he had an affair with an employee.
Yeah right, your industry is one of the most corrupt, incestuous and male dominted industry than any other. They even shoot each and then claim it's an accident.
Please don't con yourself that it is in anyway sweaky clean.
