I have no idea how much money he must be pulling in to keep his seat, more than Stroll for AM?
Lance Stroll doesn't need to pull in a penny for the team to keep his drive.

Well, I firmly believe that if he wasn't driving Daddy would part ways with AM so... :p

Obviously Papa Stroll only got involved in the first place because of his son, but I think he's actually pretty committed to making AM a success now. His goal is to make Lance a WDC, but if he can't do that, or if Lance decides he wants to try something else, I think he'll stick with trying to fill the AM silverware cabinet.

He needs money back on his investment, he's not in it for the love of it, it's a money machine, if it's considered a failure he'll lose loads.

Son is mediocre at F1, I couldn't be lance stroll knowing that I'm only their cos my parents and not on merit.

Given how little he paid for Force India and the new cost cap / entry rules having sent the value of existing teams soaring, I doubt there's a world in which Stroll will ever lose money on the Aston Martin F1 Team investment.

Fair point, it's currently valued at $1.5bn and they paid $117m for it. He might have lost on his stake in Aston Martin proper, but I doubt it was on a scale to overturn those kind of gains.

I like the fact Brown isn't dropping this; https://www.planetf1.com/news/zak-brown-demands-red-bull-sign-affidavit-bibgate-paddock-tip-off

This line is interesting from him;
The suggestion in the pit lane from a handful of people is that it has been used in that manner

So it's not just a case of they have it, a handful of people are actually suggesting it has been used in parc ferme.

Also;
“Look at the wording of their denial about the device being inaccessible when the car is prepared to go racing,” he added.

“Well, the car isn’t fully prepared to go racing in parc ferme. Many things can be changed. You can pull the seat out, you can adjust the pedals.”

Stroll usually seems to jump up the grid when it's really wet, had some great qualifying performances in horrible conditions.

I feel like Stroll has had enough impressive drives to believe that he's actually got the pace needed to be a genuinely good driver; his problem is that he is woefully inconsistent and doesn't seem to improve over time. As well as some just embarrassing moments like when he drove into DR under safety car. If one was inclined to armchair psychoanalysis one might wonder whether having been given so much without having to work for he's never acquired that bit of grit and determination that the very best need; that would let him push himself to the degree needed.

At no point was Lando fully ahead of Max so the overtake wasn't completed so that means he was defending.
I've watched many times and he wasn't fully ahead. His front wheels were ahead but not his full car

Continuing this here, as the US race thread got locked :cry:

Lando was ahead of Max on the straight before the corner, by a full car length, plus 0.015, as shown on the position timing info during the race : see screenshot of the race below (Lando P3, Max P4)

So going into the corner Lando was defending and Max overtaking.
Corner overtake : Max made the apex first (rule) but went off track limits (rule), so should give the place back to Lando, or face a penalty (as per the overtaking rules).

McLaren has a legit case for an appeal here!

Honestly you you need to let it go because I don't care. If you think 0.015 is totally clear for an overtake then you don't know what racing is, also Lando was so clear he made no attempt to move across and cover him. Mclaren have accept them penalty so should you.

Not sure that's an open invitation to bring it into this thread and keep going round in circles?

It's happened, move on (unless you've specifically got some new facts to bring to the table as @Mr Jack above has mentioned)

McLaren have just lodged an appeal.

If the actual F1 team hasn't moved on from it, why should the discussion around it be stifled in a public forum...?
