Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

btw if you are trying to level your Trader skill make sure you don't reload between buying and selling the goods. Doesn't matter how much profit you make you won't get a single point. Do your research before purchasing goods and go straight to your destination.

e: may as well add
to level your Steward skill make yourself a Quartermaster in clan menu and keep as much food variety as you can to increase your party morale which will increase your Steward skill in return, I think if you have at least one of each consumable you'll get +8 party morale
Don't bother putting too much focus points to it unless you want to level it super fast.

Just me or do most of the perks not work yet? I got the one to add +2 to party for every fief owned, did nothing at all, also got the perk to simply add +2 to party size... again, did nothing. 20% off caravan upkeep is another.

Says they're missing on the store page, that's a shame, makes the grind pointless.

Singleplayer Features: Several planned single player features may be missing or incomplete. These include but are not limited to: full game controller support, some skill and perk effects, crafting, some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management.

It says some but it's more like most.

Early access, frustrating, but I think it's only for setting up the caravan, so it would cost 12k instead of 15k. Annoying, but not the end of the world, still well worth investing.

There are mods that enable them (or at least few more)

I'm not really sure why they haven't fixed them though, it would strike me as something very easy to implement (it's already done if you choose azerai background). Maybe interaction between the aserai background and the perk causes issues?

That's the Aserai faction bonus (which also doesn't seem to work - which begs the question, do any of them?), there's a perk in trade that reduces the running costs (wage) of the caravans by 20% but it does nothing.

Indeed, the modding community is already awesome for this game. Just enabled a cheer mod so I can cheer with my men after slicing people to death

bleh did ll the talking to 10 lords thing who fought in whatever battle without cheating last night,
actually went pretty fast since I talked to anyone with a name and an army on the map, managed to get about 5 of them like that just whilst I was trading.
setup a caravan.
bought a workshop (lol profits? seems that way anyway compared to a caravan and they both cost about the same)

started hunting for a wife, had like 5 rejections already.

finding people in this game and stalking them is getting really boring already I wish you could just talk to people without bothering with all the loading screens at cities.

yea its cool you can walk around a city, but its pointless anyway it doesnt really add to the game they are just deserted horrible locations.

if they were like skyrim villages sure but instead its all a maze of walls.

Caravans make mega profits with time. My workshops top out around 600 a day, I've had a caravan hit 1400 in a day before (admittedly, I had to pay wages still).

If you're in a city, go to the keep option (not walk around city), and you'll see any lords/ladies in the keep at the top. Same as when you see the tradesmen/gang bosses when you first get there. Click on their Icon, and you can choose to talk to them, you get teleported straight to them and in conversation.

Yea but there's still a pointless loading screen to talk to them, then another to get back out.
its pointless wasted time i wish there was an option to just talk to them from the city screen thats what I meant.

BTW in this game there is hardly any voice acting or my sound is messed up?
I assumed there was none but one person who I talked to actually had voice for her lines

There's at least 1 quest that requires you to find someone and you have to talk to locals to find that person. You can also take over locations from local gangs, or at least temporarily clear them out, for reputation with other merchants and some decent loot. Just make sure your civilian gear is decent and you take all your companions.

Yeah to be honest I was also thinking the same with the dialogue, would be great not to have to go into the towns but at least with an SSD the loading isn't too bad.

I haven't heard one line of voice acting in the entire game.

Haha awesome, very good considering how quick it probably was to do! The look of shock on Leg's face cracked me up. :)

One thing that's really annoying me is the 'Jawwal' clan seem to be able to pillage my caravans even though i'm not at war with them, when I hunt them down and try to kill them off it just says 'Im not your enemy are you mad'. They've done it 5 times now.

Really weird, I don't think any of my caravans have ever come under attack. How do you know they're even being attacked?

You can always tell because it'll appear bottom left saying 'x companion has levelled up x' with a few attributes, often battle related, then it'll come on screen saying 'x has been captured'. You then have to wait for them to escape, find where they are and set them up as a caravan again.

I wouldn't mind if I could dish out some devine retribution but it seems they can attack me without me attacking them back. Maybe if I was my own Empire I could declare war on them I assume.

Another thing i've noticed is there doesn't appear to be any 5/6 tier gloves/capes/boots that you can buy. I haven't found any yet anyway, apart from on my wife but I feel bad robbing her of her amazing armour :p

Yeah higher tier armour is hard to get and when it does appear it's like 20-40k. I think there's a better chance to find good armour in towns with iron mines nearby. If you have money to spare you can open a Smithy in one of those towns which should increase weapon and armour production.

I have a tournament mod that lets me pick a price out of 5 items and it also expands available items.

So having had my own kingdom for a while, with random wars occurring, recently Sturgia was declared war on. They captured my wife when attempting to hassle my capital. That annoyed me. I snuck into the capital before they got there, swapped my army out for the high tier ones in the garrison, turned around and took on 500 vs my 257. Wiped the floor with them, captured 6 lords and executed them all, wiping out a clan. Still annoyed, I went off to the nearest sturgian castle (quite a long way from the rest of their property) and started sieging, I did mean to take it, but another 4 lords turned up, again I was outnumbered, but again, superior tactics and troops. Hardly lost any men again. Executed another 4 lords (including their leader I believe) and wiped another clan.

Capturing my wife was the definite trigger for me choosing which faction gets the chop...
