Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

So I probably should have realised that killing most the lords of a faction leaves their castles/towns open to being taken by other factions. I've not grown at all, but they have. Still, at least they don't have more lords.

Looks like I'm limited in the number of parties I can create, which really sucks. Suggests I need to employ more clans, which requires talking to the clan leader and convincing them to join me. Might need to start doing favours for lords, try and get my rep up (does that help with convincing checks?).

Haven't played for a couple of days. Trying to decide if I want to start a new playthrough, or keep pushing on with the one I'm doing.

It's fun having big battles, with decent armour etc, but equally, as more and more changes come in, and I learn things about how many parties you can have etc, I do feel like starting again.

Might just use the character exporter though, think it's still working.

Make sure you install some good mods, especially the quality of life ones and stat fixes. They make a noticeable positive improvement to the game.

Hostage mission in Steppe Bandit hideout with 64 men inside. I’m on the hardest difficulty only on clan tier 3. I mean come on that’s mission impossible. I had to lower all the difficulty setting to get through it.

Never done the hostage mission, but found that the best approach to bandit camps can be to do them over the course of a few days. Go in, thin the numbers as much as I can, retreat, wait 24 hours (not letting any new bandits enter), repeat until cleared.

You're not using the mod to take more troops into the hideouts? It's essential.

It's convenient, not essential. I've taken out 60+ camps, but as I say, I tend to do it over 3 nights. First 2 thin them out, 3rd night, make a push to the boss. Did that without great troops too (half recruits sort of terrible).

Absolute waste of time imo, but each to their own!

Oh god I cannot stand that guy and his style of presenting... had to block his videos form showing in my Youtube feed.

You know what that’s a good idea.

My first play through I’m just going vanilla.

joined the Sturgians on Sunday I should have done it sooner, so much fun. I was given Amprela after my first Siege plus the castle directly to the east I didn’t even vote as I didn’t know how to at the time. Then the AI King decided to take Ortongard which is in the heart of enemy territory so i was stuck fighting Lords before they could group up around the area on my own. I left as I saw some of my settlements on fire as soon as I did Ortongard was Sieged by a 300+ army.

Patch e1.1.2:
  • AI is more likely to block when equipped with a shield. Common troops now generally have higher weapon skills.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when the player was a faction ruler and ended a contract with a mercenary or minor faction and refused to settle their debt.
  • Pregnancy chance has been lowered.
  • An AI bug that reduced performance is fixed.
  • Agents no longer block ally attacks in the shield wall formation.
  • Multiplayer client crash fixed.

They should fix the bug when you watch tournament in the arena where NPC stand still after a few attack attempts.

just had 3 cracked shields become repaired after I tried to sell them but the shop ran out of money so put them back into my inventory. Two of the shield turned into upgrades.

Don't think it's not only when you watch. I haven't played for few days but when I was one on one against one of my companions I'd let him/ her hit me to level up their skills. After about 5 attacks they would just stare at me and I had to attack so they start fighting again.

Well, I caved in and bought this last night. £26.99 at CDKeys.

...and all I get is a white screen when I launch the game. Yay. This is exactly why I held off buying
