Mountain Biking

Just noticed their the dual positions and not solo air, I've read the damper is different and just not as good as the solo air at all.

Yeap, by many accounts, the DP isn't as good, and it's not possible to drop volume spacers in. Plenty of folk like the DP though, so you might like them.

Yeap. The raceface sixc 35mm rocks. The Easton I had turned out to be too stiff when I used them in France

If it wasn't for my downhill rig I'd be all over the carbon raceface - as it is I want to stay away from carbon, I know carbon has come on a lot but I still don't think I want to take the chance.

So I've been looking at the Raceface Atlas in 35mm ALU but I just don't know if it will be too stiff

Dont be silly, the carbon will be fine.
But, for what it's worth, the alu one feels very similar - my mate had one on his Demo.

If anything, the Alu would be a bit more supple (theoretically speaking) as the carbon 35mm bars will be stiffer.

So now the weather is improving and the place is drying out I have been wondering whether I should swap my rear tyre back to the stock tyre my bike (Scott Scale 760) was fitted with.

I am currently running 2.25" 2015 Schwalbe Nobby Nics front and rear which I put soon after getting the bike. The bike came with a pair of 2.2" Maxxis Ikons which I found really poor in mud but did roll better.

Should I swap the rear tyre back to an Ikon now the weather is improving?

Would totally depend on what you want right? Never used super fast rolling tyres and never had any major dramas.

Is it at all possible to swap a reverb without bleeding?

- Seems not, removed the cable at the remote end, now doesn't work as I lost a little fluid. Bleed kit ordered :/

How was it? I love that place.

All in it was a great day. You should have come. Knifey too?

6 punctures (got through 3 patches and had to use my mates 650 tube in my 26" tyre :D), i smacked my elbow, thigh and stomach and smashed my glasses up, mate slid a few foot on his forearm and shoulder and has a knackered thumb :D all in very eventful but a great ride.

Cafall is running lovely. I've only ever ridden it twice and that was in the winter when it was sloppy and yuck. Running nice and dry at the moment.

This was the 5th puncture:

Front wheel is tubeless (Stand Flow rim) but the rear isn't. It's a mAvic EX something or other that will not run tubeless. And I can't find my hope hub kit to change the axle over to my other white Stans Flow wheel :(

Rear now has two lovely dents in the rim, probably from today.
