MP Jo Cox murdered in West Yorkshire [Thread title edited]

Wonder if there is a link to BF, there will be calls for the group to be banned? Wouldn't really be a loss to many people...
You can ban a group but the people within it will always remain.

Just like Islam. I mean there's literally people out there who think banning Mosques will magically stop terrorism.

This is getting blown out of all proportion!

Mrs Cox was......

Policy advisor to Oxfam The Freedom Fund, an advisor to Sarah Brown wife of Gordon Brown. Worked in Brussels as an advisor to Glenys Kinnock when she was MEP and also an advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Chaired Labour Women`s Network and founded the all-party parliamentary group on Syria.

So just maybe she urinated on a lone extreme right wing mental case who was getting help but it was withdrawn due to cut backs by the government.
So he was peeved that she was looking after imports and not here own constituents.

Everything I have looked at suggests it had sod all to do with the referendum.

Fact:
A lone, extreme right wing nutter kills local MP because of government cut backs, end of story.

Now can we all move on, the news on this is way out of proportion to what has happened.

But hey **** happens life goes on, show your respects and move on.

The referendum angle is only being brought into it because of the panic on the Remain side - if it was planned with some right wing agenda it wouldn't make sense to do it now.

I think the first murder of a standing MP in 26 years is quite an event, so unsurprisingly, there is a lot of discussion about it

Thats some pretty impressive provenance for someone I hadn't really heard about before, what a loss :(

I can't see she urinated on anybody, so I'm not sure what this little mini rant was about

I'm sure someone could come up with a fancy Latin term for this, all I can do is lol

Awesome, case solved by itchy, nothing else to see here

It's hardly been 24 hours and no-one actually knows the 'facts' yet, despite your apparant inside knowledge and impatience to 'get over it and move on'

Implying extremist far right agenda makes sense to start with :p

And not really any panic

The suggestion is that due to her being a Remain supporter conflicts with that group's ideology.

Worst summation ever.

Because its right?

Prove me wrong, he was a mental case and washed with brillow pads, he also had a campaign of hate through emails for 3 months leading up to her death.

He was a mad man end of and we as a nation failed to help him, so these are the consequences of failure to help the mentally ill.

Why do people find things so hard and have to correlate things from fiction to fact.

My heart goes out to the family and its bloody awful but, I could get killed by a nutter tomorrow and all I would be in is the local rag Liverpool echo!

wtf are you blathering on about?

There aren't any concrete "facts" at this stage, the police have barely even started looking into it, who knows what they'll find, and who knows how long it'll take.

Give it a rest.

I'd argue with that but there is no substance, just a "I know about this, so prove me wrong" argument.
I'm waiting for something more concrete.

What we do know.
A man murdered a Labour MP, He likely said Britain First or Put Britain First during the act.
He may or may not have mental health issues though the police believe he is fit to be detained.

Did I state otherwise?

You seem to be downplaying the mental health issues in favour of the political agenda.

We know he had major mental health issues and reason to hold a grudge against his local mp - what's more likely a simple grudge or some sort of targeted political assassination?

Have to say Dewsbury must be a right **** hole if you can get shot and stabbed by some nutter and the first passerby happens to be in the BNP.
