That is pretty awesome, means it could be temp stuck on a uni block while ek get stock ready. I take it msi are now officially 'cool' with cooler removal then?
You basically have a lot of rights in that regard in Europe already. for RMA we only ask that the original cooler is placed on it and there is no damage. Damage = void warranty. We know that people want liquid cooled setups, especially on a Lightning, so in that regard it can be a temporary solution for some and a permanent solution for others.. and a LN2 solution, of course
Are we going to find out what happened on the 7th neliz now that the red mist has cleared? Many are pointing to shortage of hynix & Samsung IC's.
The first teaser was "aired" on July 8th, but a lot of people assumed August 7th and linked a launch date to it. I'm pretty sure I wrote on overclockers.net that we would launch AN overclocking product on that date, but assumption is the mother of all F'ups and maybe I should've said "hold your horses" somewhere.. but it was just a misinterpretation.
This actually started all the way back @ Computex with the first videocardz.com article:

Barry doesn't work at Product Marketing, nor was he aware of the the Thermal Design, yet everyone ran with the story. No verification, just write down an unchecked fact, post it on a popular website and it becomes a "truth."
That's why I never called our cooler "Twin Frozr V" anywhere, just "new Thermal Design"
So, no memory shortage, no last minute hardware changes, it was never supposed to launch on the 7th.
