Now you can volt mod a Titan to 1.3v buying a secondhand Titan has really put the cat among the pigeons.

It totally defeats the point of buying a new 780 lightning or classified.

Just ordered a classified for £540 delivered which includes splinter cell and batman, after selling those should be around £510. Couldn't justify the extra for a lightning since it's unlikely to be £60 better.

Still a premium over a £470 msi gaming OC 780 from the same store but worth it imo.

having great fun with my classy's and i hate to say it, but i need waterblocks, temp limited now :( they chuck out some serious heat at 1.3v+

Looks like Nvidia playing at spoil sports again :(

"Here you can download the MSI GeForce GTX 780 Lightning Power LIMIT BIOS.

This is the 'enthusiast' BIOS for GeForce GTX 780 Lightning owners that free up a couple of limitations.
Simply put the card in LN2 mode and flash this BIOS into it.
After you updated the firmware the Power Limiter of the card can now be set at 300%

Procedure:

Download this version of NVFLASH
Make a USB MS-DOS boot flash drive and place the BIOS and NVFLASH on there
Boot from the USB flash drive into DOS
Make sure your GTX 780 Lightning BIOS is set at LN2 mode
In DOS mode type: NVFLASH.exe V29611L1.rom
After the firmware has been flashed, boot into Windows and download + install the latest MSI Afterburner.

You can now set a 300% Power limit."

UPDATE: THIS FILE HAD TO BE REMOVED AS NVIDIA WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT.

Nice! hoping mine is similar or better, I won't be watercooling though but it seems they clock pretty damn well on air.

i wasn't going to watercool but i'm intrigued now, using a modded bios which gives 130% PT, so no boost just constant clocks and a voltage mod tool which i can do upto 1.35v , so if i need any more its gonna have to be an evbot if i can get my hands on one, 1400+ should be quite easy once wet ;)
