Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

Not wanting to start a flame war here, but you tell us you've managed to crash from 60ft in the air because you "accidentally shut the engines off" yet you're fine with flying over peoples houses and public roads?
It's irresponsible actions like that which are giving people ammunition for it being banned...

I'm after some help please.

I have a wind turbine project I'd like to film getting put up next month.
I don't have time to mess with a kit unless it is pretty simple.
I have a Dx6i transmitter if this helps.

I'd like it to have a range of around 750 mtrs.
What could do the job with reasonable results and at what cost?

Many thanks

Presumably you have little/no multirotor experience? Getting from 0 to filming at 750m, with any kind of quality, might be a big ask. Depends upon how much time you have to throw at the flying. There is also the issue of commercial use, let alone permission to enter the site/land - is this turbine project something you are filming for your company or because it's cool?

If it's for work and for promo/commercial work, it'll be better to hire someone with the kit and qualifications

Wait, are you saying being drunk makes you fly irresponsibly and illegally, or just that it makes you incapable of controlling your craft?

Is that chap legal as well as many others http://youtu.be/i8bOJDLnBjU

People risk it I know you shouldn't but its life..People do it, It gets boring recoding fields over and over

Um... isn't that the guy who was prosecuted?

Not really the best video to use in your defence :p

Film what you want, do what you want. Just don't post it online for the CAA to site as evidence when they ban drones and/or FPV. Especially not against a named YouTube account!
