The APM has a "Follow Me" mode where it'll follow a laptop or Android device. It's not one of the more polished modes and does lag behind you a bit but it does work.So the QX350 has a return to home mode, but it only returns to where is took off.
is there a copter out there that out of the box will follow the controller?
Then she pays to replace them! All my bullet connections, USBASP programmer, heat shrink, solder pen tips and all my screws for my heli that im building, and 5 micro servos that were delivered yesterday
worst thing is that the bin men/women came today also

Good video, from the area myself so will sent it around.
Thanks, a few people have been spouting CAA rulings at me over the video, but the phantom is exempt from 'no fly zones' as so light. Compared with many videos I don't think I was putting anyones lives at risk.
The two people on the pavement were filming the Quad and stood there for around 20mins
I don't suppose anyone knows a company that does finance on these things? I'm after a phantom 2 vision, but they are £800 roughly
Yeah I use it on one of my quads, just plug your balance lead into it.The Fatshark came with a filter though which has 23/3S and 4S sockets... I take it the power cable goes into one of those and that this is merely filtering out noise along the power line? Videos I've seen online don't even have the filter in line - have other people used it?
To be honest LiPos only pop in three situations high discharge rate, high charge rate or physical damage. Goggles draw a small amount of current and it's in a hard case so unless you go around headbutting rocks with the side of your head there's nothing to worry aboutAlso, I'm a bit nervous about the power supply for the Fatshark... having a Lipo so close to my face is something I'm not really happy about! Might have to look at an extension cable or some sort of alternative. What are other people doing?I

What phone do you have how do you use that?
I'm slightly leaning towards doing a diy FPV job initially, potentially with a screen mounted on the transmitter rather than goggles which I can look to add later. I would like to try a set of fatsharks though, guess I'll have to hunt around on RCGroups for someone near Bristol to try them
Allen keys are a pain in the bum when used on the inner screws.
Buy some decent hex drivers.
I've got the X2212-13 980Kv motors on my TBS Discovery, they're fantastic and really smooth with a fair amount of grunt. I get about 16 mins flight time on a 4S 4000mAh with 9x5 Carbon blades too so they're pretty frugal too (AUW is ~1.5kg), that's at the almost falling out of the air point though so 12-14 mins safely.Anyone got any experience using the Sunnysky x2212 motors? I know a lot of people rave about the 980kv version, but I'd need to either scale up my quads for 10" props or go to 4s. Have been looking at the 1400kv version thinking I can either stick with the 8" props or downsize a little further providing I keep the quad light.
Alternatively I could look at the x2208 range which has a 1260kv. Choices choices!
Are you sure you're not thinking of props rather than motors? If not swapping two of the 3 leads will reverse the rotation of any brushless motor
I'm not sure there is a difference between multirotor specific outrunners and 'normal' ones, you'll probably get kv and power ratings that are more suitable for load lifting than plane motors and you're more likely to get bolt on prop adapters. However there's no fundamental difference in how they operate.
Sorry I'm not sure what you're saying exactly.I thought they gave details of which way the motor spins/props/multirotor suitable whether they be set up for CW or CCW to make it obvious what people are purchasing... this is standard with everything you buy, its all in the details, its then up to the customer to decide what they want and then alter it if they have the skill/knowledge/balls to do so.
