cheers mate. might come in handy on this screen :)

Just to say guys!

I'm thoroughly happy with my Dell so far! everything is great, pc gaming is actually better than I expected.
Playing half life 2, world of warcraft in 1920*1200 is another experience altogether.

I have tried an xbox 360 development kit on it.
So far its great via component.

Slight issue with it taking too much boarder with the 360 via VGA and the TV options don't seem to let me change it to the correct setting. (can't fathom it out so far).

hmmm dev kit? what game you werking on?

Not working on it direct, my best mate / house friend is though, He has one at home to play test the game, had one about for 4-5 months :).
Got the final/retail version of the dev kit now (so all of the menus are final etc). Very nifty little device and not to mention the media centre capabilities of it are great.

The links dont work for me :(

But I did get my 2405 the other week :D incredibly pleased with it, don't really have any decent content to test out the HD, tried it with a 1080p CSI Miami episode, that looked poor though, just seemed upscaled :(

Anywho, great monitor :D

sorry renamed pwp :)

Look truely fantastic, good quality pictures - really shows the sharpness of the display in my opinion, and hey if Baddass bought it, its gotta be good seeing as he knows a lot about the different panels.

Ill buy it off you for £250 ;) ??? :p

Didn't think so :(

Is there an issue at all with dead pixels on the 2405? I dont see any mention of a no dead pixel guarantee, but then again from the posts in this thread I have read there don't seem to me any mention whatsoever of dead pixels at all which would appear quite surpising.

On special this week it seems like a great price, and I'm really tempted, but I would be pretty gutted if having spend £600 on a screen there were dead pixels.

I haven't heard of a single one with a dead pixel, I bought a screen for me and a mate and neither of ours were less than perfect.

What sort of graphic card is required to handle movies and normal games on such a monitor? I guess I would have to factor in the cost of replacing my 9500 into that monitor as well.

mine is running happily on my very ageing GeForce 4 Ti4200 at native res on DVI :D i movies are totally fine and it can handle the games i play still at pretty much full settings on full native res (NBA Live 2006 and GTA San Andreas)

smiley man just make sure you dont break the rules, as i got told off here when i
posted pics of the 2405 with hd stuff displauying.

Larz do you mean the black bars top and below when watching films?
