I take it thats nVidia only?

ooh I got one of these on order and i just realised i haven't given any thought to graphics cards - i currently have a Radeon 9800 Pro (128 ram), this would this be enough for your everyday office/DVD playback needs right?

I'd think you would be just fine for that, even some games? I've read a few on here running the monitor with that card and it should support the native resolution of the Dell.

I finaly ordered mine this morning! lol :D
(managed to get hold of some cash early, lol)

Will post pics when it arrives :)

Just hope someones at home when it arrives, lol

I've been following your post on this Chad and noticed you've had a few doubts at times and needed lots of reassurance from the other owners. Really pleased to see you've ordered it now, I'm sure it will bring you many years of pleasure, enjoy your new monitor when it arrives and lets have some pics please. :)

I usually run mine on a 9800pro, although at the moment I'm using an ancient geforce 64MB 3DprophetII :)

Cheers. :)

Decided id waited long enough, and no matter what monitor i got, there would always a better one just around the corner....but i figured this is a sweet monitor....and "this week only" just tipped me over the edge into getting it :D

Just hope someone is at home tomorrow to recieve it. lol

If not, do they take it back to OcUK, or will they leave it with the Post Office?
(Got quite a LARGE royal mail post office near us, they usually drop stuff off there. Then again, this is City link, not royal mail. =/ )

Hopefully will have some pics by tomorrow! ^^

Yep! they couldn't find my address So I was getting a little worried just before 7 pm and phoned city-link. They had it there ready to deliver sometime the following day but although they closed at 7pm, they said they would wait for me to get down there and pick up myself. It is only a 10 minute drive to my local depot so I shot down there and picked it up that night. :D

Kind of off topic, but since it was discussed on this page of the thread ... what do you actually use a card reader for? Dont all laugh at once ;) Yup I guess to read cards  But what kind and what for? My laptop has a card reader too, and I've often wondered what to do with it? The powered USB hub on the Dell is a real bonus for me though, the Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS I own would often drop out with just a couple of other devices plugged in, not anymore. I plug my G15 into the Dell too.

LOL, I normally consider myself quite computer literate too, but obviously there is gaps in my knowledge .......

Thanks in advance.

I use it for the compact flash card I use with my digital camera, it's a real godsend, take out card from camera, into reader, transfer pics, job done.

mainly for the memory stick/cards other peoples camera in the house uses, mem stick for psp. tbh i thought i would never use it but more or less use it every day
so its a good thing and less desk clutter for me
