My new Samsung 26" LCD

Gonna wait till mid decemeber to buy one, hopefully the price should drop a bit.
I wouldn't have thought so

Everywhere is out of stock of this TV it's so popular. Not a recipe for dropping prices. The company I ordered mine from have put their price for this up by over £30 in the last week.

the store I bought mine from had about 25 sitting on the shelves of 26" for £680, and the same amount for the 32" at £880.

so not everywhere is sold out, look locally and you may find some still.

and I also doubt that the prices of the systems will be dropping by mid decemeber, just won't happen.

(trying to get a screenshot of mine in normal daylight hours, proving impossible atm as I am only ever on pc at night, and that gives a crap pic quality)

I am just about to buy the 26" Samsung but I will need to use it for work about 6 hours a day. Is there extra glare from the tv or is it similar to a pc monitor. Have any of you worked for long periods on the tv screen. I want it to double up as a games monitor for the kids and DVD viewing.

I don't want two screens on the desk, so all advice would be grateful.

Many thanks in advance

Antoinette

My 26" one comes next week because its been sold out, however I think the difference between the Grenwhich 1 and 2 is the speaker, if you notice on tried and tested's his speaker is a triganle but the power button over the top (like the 23" versions) but the new ones have the power button actually in the speaker and the speaker is more of a triangle?

WOOT WOOT :D

Just had confirmation that our Sammy has been despatched today for delivery tomorrow :)

A high st. shop had the 26" for £680 in store? That's a very good price!

I like the look of the new model too, but the price is a bit too much :(

Back... went to some local shops to have a good play and the picture quality looks superb on the Samsung! I compared the 26" Sammy to the LG 26" (side by side) in one shop and quality of the sammy was far superior not just in colour but fluidity i.e it looked more sharper and crisper throughout.

I also went to another shop and compared it to a Panasonic (same price), still the Samsung looked so much better in colour!

Still not in stock until next week so I think im going to try and hold out! The best price ive seen so far is £699 - the guy at the £750 shop said he may try and sort something out :P :)

bb soon with pics :)

Looks like I am going to put in an insurance claim for my 26" after I was burgled today!!!

I am soooooooooo annoyed as not only will it take an age to get the insurance money thru, but no doubt there wont be any Sammy's to be found in stock knowing my luck

sorry to hear that hugo,

my place was done over abotu 4 years ago, they nicked my tv, sony dvd player and such at the time, left the pc lol it was in one of those huge juno p6 cases which were the rage at the time. Insurance didnt cough up a penny, my ex girlfriend at the time had left the small balcony window open.

Due to that the refused to compensate, which i guess is fair enough as the house wasnt secure :(

It's here, it's here. Sammy has just arrived :D

Only problem is I'm still at work so I can't play just yet :( :p

Ordered exactly the same tv, the LE32M51B, probably from the same shop judging by the price, the uk based home cinema shop? Mine arrives on tuesday, and it will replace my bargain 30" Medion, which my mum is buying from me.

I'm not using it as a monitor, just as a HD display (getting ready for all the new HD products next year). May need a new upscaling DVD player now.

I just can't wait until we've finished knocking down walls and decorating downstairs. Then the real big TV fun starts :D

lol too many of us have that tv now,

has any one found a way to cure red text blur on it though?? stands out big time on these forums. other wise its a quality display.
