Love mine, are you going to be using it on a pc?? if so let me know if you find the right settings so that it displays red text on blue ok, and not as a blur.

If I could just find a retail store that sells the 26" version for less than £700 I'd buy one! But alas all the shops are selling for £799 usually!

Before mine was nicked I actually browsed these forums without any problem - as this had already been highlighted as a weekness - maybe its luck of the draw with firmware editions?

Anyone here bought the 32" version for PC usage? Do you think it's usable at any realistic range?

I saw a 32" one on the high st. and I was surprised at how crisp it looked.

Yep, in the setting bit I saw an option to view the firmware and upgrade it. I think you have to phone Samsung and ask for a CD to be sent out. At least that's what I've seen on AV forums.

just been browsing the avforums, seems a fair few issues with tearing at 720p on older firmware, will have to wait till i get in. dont want the x360 tearing on it lol

I'll have to do a bit more reading to see what firmware we're running here. We'll not be running any consoles through it so tearing shouldn't be a problem for us.

The one I might buy is the SAMSUNG LE26R41BDX/XEU - im not sure what the extra 'XEU' is on the end, but im assuming its got the later firmware.

Got my 32 incher today"LE32M51B", oct 12th firmware.

Takes some getting used to LCD technology, dvds are pretty good through component. RGB isnt so good. Im sure these tvs come into there own with HD broadcasts though.

Not tried the pc through it yet, dont have a long enough lead.

And i wont be getting a xbox 360 for a while, even though i placed an order on the 25th August. lol !

A friend of mine has a 32" one of these sammys, hes not impressed with it at all, he says dvds are ok, but freeview looks blocky and awful? Also he reckons his ps2 looks worse than on a normal tv. I know its really meant for HD and all but is there any tips you can help me out with so he can get a decent pic for normal tv viewing?

Personally i've not seen it, I have myself a 42" panny viera, which is awesome, I think he kinda got used to looking at that maybe.

I'm taking delivery of my Samsung LE32R41BDX tomorrow morning.....Paid £840 for it......Bargain i reckon from 99% of the comments i read about it

Got it mainly as i'll be getting my XBox 360 delivered on the 2nd....I'll be hooking up my old XBox, DVD player, Gamecube, NTL Digital, XBox 360 and my PC from time to time on it perhaps....On looking at all that i'm not sure how i'll get it all hooked up

So i'll be able to test them all tomorrow and report on the picture quality of things and hopefully get some pics......Currently on the look out for some nice glass entertainment units

Bit of a silly question, but was just trying to do some comparisons between different TV sizes, how big is the 26 inch screen? (I mean verticle height, and horizontal width, not corner to corner) I assume the horizontal would be about 22 inches or so right?

Also what is the 32" one? I am just wanting to do some measuring comparing it to My current setup, to give me an idea of weather to get the 32 or the 26 inch

yeah freeview and normal tv arent ideal - but then its unfair to ask it to look brilliant on a tv such as this ( imo) dvd's especially if you have an upscalling dvd player / recorder look fantastic as will HD Sky when it gets launched

Hi all, I was thinking of buying the Samsung LE26M51B buy but I have a few questions. Can it be used on a pc and if so, how does it perform in games etc. Also, will it work ok when using it on Sky Digital? I read about some problems with using a standard TV signal.

It performs fine. Gmaes look great. I play B&W 2 and quake 4 and they look amazing. The only problem is when on OcUK forums and someone has read text and the blue background it looks blurry.
