I work for a 'high street retailer' and we got a memo on saturday to remove all our 26" and 32" samsung's from sale with immediately so they could be recalled. Now we're not allowed to sell what was the best selling LCD (in my store anyway).

EDIT: Emma, both those companies are competitors so you might want to remove them. They both removed all theirs on saturday (work for the first one (and they're both basically the same company() so you won't be able to buy it from there anyway.

Yeah, I was supposed to get my replacement 26" Samsung TV, but it never turned up! Went into retailer and they have all been recalled due to ONE setting on fire!
Obviously they would do this...

i think its to do with fire risk due to components inside going pop or something like that, shame really as i really like the look of the TV and was saving to get one

I guess it wont take long to resolve this matter with it being just a precautionary measure and they'll be back on the shelves in next to no time. When that time comes I'll have my money ready! But there is one thing I'd like to know, does the digital tuner receive all available freeview channels? I think I read somewhere that it receives up to 30. Could someone confirm this please.

From memory I dont seem to remember there being a limit on the number of digital channels, and 30 to my mind is way too low a figure I would have thought as there are at least that many already available and this is a TV for the future

EmmaUK, mine has access to far more than 30 plus you can listen to radio stations.

When i tested my TV out downstairs, i got well over 100 channels.
