My new Samsung 26" LCD

Mmm, lightbulb, did you order yours for 639 by any chance?

Sorry for not getting back sooner, totally forgot about this thread :)

I ended up paying £669 for the LE26R41BD just to get it in before Christmas.

As for the recall its just the R51 model as mentioned in that AVForums thread. This is the one sold mainly by Dixons Stores Group and the odd retailer here and there who have manged to get a hold of it. The R41 doesnt have any recall on it. ;)

Here's a couple of pics of mine:

Taken with the flash on...

...and with the flash on my camera off

Currently showing whatever pap is on BBC2.

I was really surprised at how well the digital tuner in the TV works. I can hardly get an analogue picture with the four main channels, but I managed to get most of digital channels without a problem!

Hey, just been looking about at this telly and I want to know whats the difference between the Greenwich and Romb versions, and whats the difference between 41 and 51, also the PIP function, does it have a quick button on the remote. Thanks!!!

What wall mounts are anyone using for the samsung?

Depending on how much i think i want to mount mine... speakers are all over the place just now.

I bought this one for £20. You can't angle the TV with the one I bought, but the same company sells a whole range of compatible wall mounts. IIRC, the Samsung needs a 200x100 VESA mount.

Ugh, i cannot afford more than one major purchase every 4 months, iv been on an expensive ski holiday, i have my car insurance to pay, and now the 26" version of this monitor has become increasingly attractive. DAMN YOU PEOPLE!

If 32" it requires the 200x200 mount. Well it does for the LE32M51 at least.

Make sure if using an arm it can take the weight. Very happy with the Ergo mount (model 250m) though quite expensive.

Check the TV specs b4 buying (ie weight and mount type).

Damn - I'm getting a lot of tearing with my xbox 360 now, very annoying.

I've searched places for a fix and I know you need to contact Samsung to arrange a firmware update. But can anyone give me a link to where I arrange the cable to be sent out to me.

Call 08702 420303 and use Option 5....Have your Model number, Serial Number and Purchase Date handy....

Not sure you can arrange it over the website as they want to hear what your problem is.....

I've been told they'll either offer to send the cable and CD out so you do it yourself, arrange for the Set to be picked up or an engineer will come and do it for you....

Good luck and mate your Sig is about 3 times bigger than your allowed before a Don spots ya ;) :D

yeah I know about my sig - I just posted that post, and I thought "Gosh  thats Huge! - getting it sorted now ;)

Thanks on the phone number, thats gotta be the quickest way, as the Samsung website has no contact numbers for after sales support.

Thanks again!

Cheers for that, I was looking for it in the shop the other day and i couldent see it so i wondered if that might be the bad point of the tv, but it seems there really isnt much thats bad at all, ne hows i think ill be buying this tv :P just duno when i will get it as not many places have any instock :D
