My new Samsung 26" LCD

having some problems with mine today it seems my freeview channel list isnt showing uo correct the channels show no data althought they are actually working, also the E4 channel has the scrambled signal, but is still working behind perfect no breaking up just that stupid logo flating around, anyone got any ideas how to fix it, its the LE26R51BD

Is anyone else running this samsung to play world of warcraft, if so how are you finding it and can you post your settings up, thanks.

Rather than start a new thread:

Whats the best Samsung 26" model to go for right now? Considering:

PC use for normal desktop, wordprocessing, internet and minor gaming.
Television viewing
Films
Xbox 360

Im pretty much sold on an LG26LX2R, but i like to consider all my options and havnt really looked at these, quite strange you must think.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Samsung compared to the LG? Prices will influence my decision.. so £200 less is a big difference.

so whats the gist here, i am dying to buy a new TV/LCD for my PC and TV work.

is BF2 easy to get working fine with this? any other issues with any games?

or should i hold out for one with DVI? this will be my only PC monitor and TV, so i need to choose wisely,

please help!!!

Bf2 is brilliant on this screen...and the correct resolution can be had just by adding a certain config to the game's shortcut. I posted some pics of it on the first page (if they're still there!)

As for DVI; if there are bring one out with it soon (i haven't heard news to that effect) then by all means wait...but you'll only get a little, if any, improvement. These screens are at superb prices at the moment too...but dont ask me where, cos i dont know!..just seen prices etc posted on this and a couple of other forums.

Seriously, this screen is amazing. Not too big for using Windows on a daily basis, games run brilliantly (no ghosting at all) and if you do get one you'll have no excuse not to attach a nice new xbox 360 to it :)

I agree with everything tried+tested says (seeing his made me buy mine)...

Windows desktop is fine. You can change the dpi settings to make everything smaller though which is a big bonus......

Takes gaming to a whole new level (also shows that I need an upgrade).......well worth the cash...

Tried+tested, you messed about with the settings much?

Settings? Nope. Never needed to. I've probably adjusted the colour a bit but there's very little it doesnt cope with well.

One thing i can't do thought it get the PiP function working properly. Not that i'd ever really use it...but the picture comes through fine, just the sound is all messed up.

Thought it was about time I posted some piccys of the TV....the desktop piccy is a toca 3 screenshot
