My new Samsung 26" LCD

The one I was looking at was the 26" and cost £799 from a leading electrical retailer thats starts with D! :)

I believe they also had it bundled with a pretty decent DVD recorder for £849 which I was also looking at.

The 32" for £799? On-line? If so, I prefer to buy expensive purchases from a store because if anything goes wrong it's just a case of returning them in person straight away.

The cheapest I've seen the 32" is around the £1000 mark!

OK now its gone up, but not much. £855.
From a company that sales home tvs that have such good picture quility they look like something out of a cinema.
Take the hints there.

for the 26" with freeview £603.07
without £577.58

Tried&Tested - is one of these good enough to completely replace your PC monitor? I don't do anythin heavy duty, just gaming and web browsing, email etc and I'm really tempted to ditch my crappy CRT TV and TFT monitor and get this to replace both

I know that question wasn't aimed at me but maybe I can help.
Im currently using my 32" to write this right now. Im loving it. Games look lush and I cannot fault it.

Well.... it has one problem. And thats red text. When seeing red text on these forums it looks blurry. I duno why. red text on dark backgrounds just doesnt seem to look good.

Aha! Found it (with a little help or something ;))

Very very tempting at that price - will have to make some measurements first though. It will be replacing a 4 year old 24" CRT so space might be an issue :(

Here's hoping though :D

Without a doubt, you'll be very pleased if you go down this route mate..very good performance in everything.

Have just managed to sell my 28" widescreen TV (yay!) so now I have an excuse to buy one - question is should it be the 26" or 32"? I am a lil worried about gettin a 32" tho RE: resolution/playback/pixel size etc. The 26" seems a pretty good size and I want an all inclusive package - summit for daily PC/TV/XBOX 360 use as space is going to be of a premium and dont have room for more than 1 monitor/screen in my new room. Also, whats the playback of other games like that dont have the widescreen resolutions? Anyone play other games like RTS (C&C, Dawn of War, etc) and FPS (CS, NS, CoD 2, etc). I currently have a 6800GT @ Ultra spec so would that be under more strain on a 32" than the 26" model? Please enlighten me - I am gonna be wanting to purchase ASAP (poss within 24 hours!!!)

Cheers Guys :D

Sorry I have been frantic this week and just about to go out tonight - but I will be rebuilding my pc tomorrow with a new iopty and 7800 GT so will hopefully post some piccs tomorrow or early Sunday

I think this tv is fabulous, think these models are in relative short supply so the prices are slowly creaping up online, but 32" are easily available sub £900 - was tempted but glad i resisted as you will be able to see soon I would have been swamped lol - only just managed to fit in proper hifi speakers for DD movies.

I very much doubt anyone who buys one of these will ever look back

just buy one already.
We don't really know because we have only owned 1 size. If we owned both (like I will be after christmas as I need a 26" for my monitor) then we could tell you.
