Gibbo said:I spoke to an NEC engineer in Germany last night who claimed that the monitors do require a 4-day running in period after which period all bleed should be completely gone. From results all ready this statement is looking very true which certainly puts this monitor back in the position of best 20" on the market.
Richdog said:Gibbo the problem with this is that the NEC rep I talked to on the phone said that if you use the monitor for longer than 9 hrs (or thereabouts) then you are not entitled to a new replacement, only a refurb.
spluff said:well it has been 4 days here and i still have bad backlight bleed. My backlight bleed was the worst I have seen here at first. Looking at other peoples photos I would be happy with that bleed.
Gibbo said:Thanks for that m8 as to me that sounds like absolute rubbish and shall be giving them an ear bashing on Monday. I think NEC need to be giving some staff the chop as they clearly aint got a clue what they are on about.

It is mostly bottom left with a little bit top left, it looks a lot like Z3R0-CooL and Lunix,s screens. Been on for about seven hours. I am hoping that it will clear as NEC say upto four days fingers crossed. What do you think?
I really want this baby to heal as it is cracking in every other way.
marv_1 said:Set mine up today, all i can say is oh my god what a difference to the 2005fpw, it is stunning. I have no dead or stuck pixels and I have a bit of bleed bottom left like Z3R0-CooL and Lunix. Sticking with this baby and hoping it will heal like their ones have done. Question to both of you guys have you been turning it off when u go to bed or have u been running screensaver on it overnight to get it healing?
For all you guys what settings are you using for DVM, brightness and contrast?
AaronW said:I got mine yesterday and I have to say I am pleased with it. It is almost perfect with a tiny bit backlight as the bottom left - got even less today.
Only problem I now have is that I need to scroll from left to right when reading all websites, including this forum. It was fine yesterday @ 1680x1050 but today at the same res I need to scroll? Any ideas how to get rid of them scroll bars?
