Need for Speed Time Trial Championship ** Season 2 ** (Multiplatform)

My effort. Are you sure this car handles alright? Mine, no matter what tuning, feels slippery in the corners even with full downforce.

Hey mate, not sure on cost....a lot.

But how about i upload my 2mb save game profile for you? it should give you 9 million quid :)

just save it to your "C:\Users\yourname\Documents\NFS SHIFT\yourname" folder, and rename it to whatever you game profile name is?

Or just rename it as 'spare' this will show up as a profile you will be able to load in game :)

Cheers Wedge

Good work Wedge - that will make it easier for newbies to get started & join in the fun - Nikaz why not put a link to that in the OP? The more people we get in the more fun it is!

Good idea danswan. Added to OP.

Top times on the Leaderboards for this combo are in the 1:17's. Where the hell are you meant to make up 3 sec's?
The car feels like it's running on a thin layer of sand in the corners. And the tyres do nothing but screech & scream around every corner.

im on 360 :(

What you could try to do is a 'Drift' session.

Goto 'Quick Race'
Select Race type 'Drift'
Go down and select track 'Miytomi' The short oval
Go back up and select Laps '20'
select zero opponents
Accept

At Car select just pick the Silvia or the RX8 or one from the choices available.

Right this is a 'Drift' comp featuring you alone, so you're guaranteed to come first. You have to Complete 20 laps THREE times to register a result, so total 60 laps. Don't worry it will only take 20mins or so. At first you only win 2000 but eventually you will win 40,000 once you reach a certain level, sorry don't know the level off hand.

I jumped from Level 1 to Level 12 with one attempt. So gained 11 level ups & about 250,000 in 20 mins. Do that for a couple of hours you'll soon have enough money

Dan & inam (or nik) i demand a video lap, i cant drive these supercars for toffee!

I'm still playing around with setting the car up. Like I've said, my car just slides in every corner. Maybe I'm being too aggressive on corner approach.
I could do a vid but I can't guarantee the lap time will be anywhere near a low 1:20. I'll give it a go though.

Uploading a vid as well. Mines a 1:20.620. Similar time.
Be good to compare mine with danswans' vid

The vid's still processing so the quality will improve once that's complete

'Worked' from home today .....

<snip>

ps. is it just me, or have you all changed to the front bonnet view (from cockpit) Since i upload my vid?

I tend to use cockpit view by default. I started doing my vids in this view as it's what I use, but on one particular combo last season I recorded the vid in bonnet view so it was easier for people to see where I was braking/corner entry etc.
Some cars (e.g. Viper) you don't get a clear enough view of the track in cockpit view so I switch to bonnet.
The behind car view is useless.

improvement.

still not hooked up a full on lap.

Good time utajoker. You chopped over a sec & half off your previous time. With practice you'll get quicker & quicker. You'll soon be up with us I assure you.

Have you got access to ALL the cars now money wise?

Hi everyone, finally got out of hospital this afternoon:)
First thing i decided to do was buy a new desk to fit my three monitors:D
Heres a few screenshots of nfs in eyefinity, looks amazing dont ya think?
Really adds to the imersion and sense of speed while playing.
Excuse the lap time lol, gunna take some getting used to..

Damn, apparently thats the pics uploaded to default size:confused:
Anyone know how i can upload them bigger?
Welcome back lewdogga. Happy New Year to you.
That setup looks awesome:cool:
Photo bucket has scaling options if required. This Forum will auto scale down the posted image. A simple clicky gets the full image though. Is your time 01:25.050?

My settings. Still tweaking to try & get nearer the low 19's or possibly high 18's.
Don't know how some are getting 17's on the NFS Leaderboard though. I just can't see where you can make up that much time bar setting the car up

I've managed to get the car to turn in on corner entry no problem. Corner exit though I was suffering from exit understeer. I've managed to solve that.
In short if you don't like the back end sliding out too much my settings may help you, but some I'm sure, prefer the sliding. You have to be careful on the throttle in 2nd gear though.
T-1 - Drop from 6th to 3rd. Don't take too much curb if at all.
T-2/3 Complex - Up through the gears to 6th. Again, don't take too much curb.
T-4 - Drop to 4th
T-5 (Kink left) - You can snatch 6th but I stay in 5th to avoid unbalancing the car for the next approach T-6.
T-6 - Brake late dropping from 5th to 3rd (Quick double tap on pad). Don't turn too hard, guide the car through the corner. Initially don't FULL throttle on corner entry, feather the throttle & when/if you get the apex right throttle away.
T-7 - Probably the most technical corner on this track to get right consistently. On approach if you had good exit from T-6 you should been able to snatch 5th before the braking zone. Drop from 5th to 3rd. Brake early on this corner to get a good drive round the right curve leading on to the long back straight.
T-8 Chicane - 2nd gear. Brake as late as you dare dropping from 6th gear to 2nd. You can ride quite a bit of the first curb so turn in early as you're coming off the brakes.
T-9/10 - The two hairpins. Take these in 2nd trying not to stray too wide of the apex.

Just be weary I don't like the way AWD cars handle, suppose it doesn't suit my driving style so my settings sort of turn it into RWD in the handling. You guys seem to like the AWD cars handling.
