Netflix: Drive to Survive

They even reversed the Tabac corner at Monaco!? They have no shame about changing or even making things up! This is not a show for the serious fan and, it seems, only gotten worse with each season. As Max said, they make up Drama when really they don’t need to.

Christ, it was only so that the shots had a continual flow. No-one would notice whilst watching the trailer and you only know about it because you read about it online. Faux rage.

Ha, my thoughts exactly. Wondered if we should all abstain from watching the very last ep in protest of the result too :p
The last *two* episodes cover the finale, although they have omitted the RB > Masi radio comms and cover nothing post-race (the Merc appeal etc).

In other news… Max came out today at Bahrain saying he’ll never participate in Drive to Survive but will probably watch it :o

I’d imagine RBR would eventually have something to say about that? A lot of fans to be made via DTS if he comes across well… oh wait maybe he’s right after all:D

Do not get the hype for this show at all. I honestly was expecting maybe a bit more behind the scenes stuff but it really feels like 'full netflix access' is more of a 'hey we need a shot please be in it'.

Its very superficial and I think just watching any team or driver vlog on YouTube is more interesting.

The visual and audio quality from the first episode of season 4 was immense, makes me wanting more with the broadcasts...here's me hoping for HDR soon.

I binge watched the entire new Season 4 today. What can I say, it's as well directed as normal and pretty gripping as a story of one of the most radical seasons ever. But it's a hard watch as a Hamilton fan. A very hard watch. Some well captured emotional scenes throughout.

Something I found interesting was just how much delusion is present among Christian and Redbull generally. They have genuinely taught themselves that they are always right, and mistreated. They truly believe the majority of the season went fully against them and in Christian's words "you may as well give the ******* title to Hamilton". Astounding...but it's the toxic mentality that they push. Some of the things Christian said during the series and his behaviour was - whilst not surprising - pretty disgusting.

Toto is much more calculated and I liked his closing comments. Hamilton was a true sportsman to be able to stand and congratulate Max at the end.

My concern going forward into 2022 season is that Max keeps driving the way he does without punishment. Why would he change a methodology that worked and got him the championship? It will require a hard stance straight from the off, and I fear even with Massi gone, the FIA and stewarding are too weak to tackle it head on.

I'm only on episode 3 and it's already hard to not skip past the RB/Horner focused parts, which are unfortunately prevalent.
Such toxicity, cheering when something goes wrong for someone else and gloating in it, taking the smallest opportunity to **** Mercedes, the team clapping ecstaticly when Max makes an easy overtake or simply farts is cringe worthy, every comment is just Max amazing, Lewis just sucks.
I've often considered it but I'm quite sure now that Horner is PD - disturbed patterns of thinking and perception, what he sees is what is real and has to be so, his view is the only view, everyone else is wrong.
