As said above though, this screen is 1680*1050 which is 34.6% more pixels than 1280*1024. If anyone is set on gaming in native res then it's going to take a fairly quick graphics card, depending on the game of course. For instance I tried Oblivion in 1680*1050 on my CRT to get an idea how it would run on the Dell 2007WFP I've just ordered, and while it was fine most of the time, when you got into a fight with a few enemies it would get really choppy (see sig for specs). Oblivion is very demanding though.
You can always just run a lower widecsreen res, which is exactly what I'll be doing. TFTs out of their native resolutions when gaming aren't that bad really, it just softens the image a little.
