New Belinea 22" is coming!!!

I take it this monitor Will only allow to connect via VGA ?? so does that mean cards like the x1900 and all the top cards wont work with it ??

Just thinken that all the latest graphic card only have DVI dont they ??

pros and plusses of having DVI input ?

My X1800XT has dual DVI output, but the card will still work with analogue monitors just fine using the supplied DVI-VGA converters. Pretty sure no one is about to make a video card that doesn't work with analogue displays :)

Pros/Cons - DVI sometimes a little sharper but that depends on the manufacturer in question. Some manufacturers make excellent VGA inputs. If a screen has only a VGA, then it's usually a good one since they know people will have to use it.

Other advantages of DVI are being able to adjust some settings from windows rather than messing with the OSD.

Hiya, I'm really tempted by this monitor for obvious reasons, the only thing is I watch a lot of films and have people over to watch films etc, would this be suitable for me?

Thanks

Hi there

Sorry for not replying sooner. Belinea messed up and got their dates incorrect. They are shipping product to ourselves I believe next week and delivery will take 2-3 days. So hopefully be here by end of next week and we now have approx 100 pre-orders so still plenty left (900). :)

Very suitable. You'll be pleasantly surprised once you use it. Don't fall in to the VGA vs DVI debate - it's a great monitor at a great value.

Viewing angles on TN panels are quite limited. That could be a problem with several people watching a film. Also be aware that all the people saying this is a great screen are speculating somewhat since of course no one has one yet :) It's definitely a great price though.

Cheers will wait till others have one first before deciding.

Well we have just recieved our Iiyama ones and they certainly look good. I am pretty sure they use the same panel as the Belinea so when i get chance i will get one out and do a mini review.

Ok that would be really cool, if they use the same panel do they have same specs?

The three i has in as a tester had to go straight out to customers but i have 20 more coming tomorrow so "Hopefully" i will be able to get one out and setup. On the exterior it does look superb with nice thin bezels. Would rather it didnt have the speakers though. Has a port on the monitor for headphones in a nice easy place to access and the monitor comes with both DVI and VGA connectors.
