New Dell IPS S2721DGF 165hz gaming monitor

I've caved in, I've just purchased.

Ships by 20/10/2020.

£331.49 seems a good price.

Well so.... Woke up this morning to see that PayPal has given me the £331.49 back. Its still saying in PayPal as authorised and nothing in recent activity,

However, the £331.49 is back in my account, as yesterday it was still pending to PayPal - dell corporation,

I'll have a guess its not coming for free so either I'll have to now re order it at £390 or attempt to "buy again" from my dell account at the £331.49, might give them a call this afternoon at my lunch break.

Hey guys don't worry too much about PayPal's authorisation stuff, as soon as it ships they'll take it back out. I thibk it had taken 12 days to get mine. 6 days before it was due to be delivered by.

Just sit back and relax, I got lucky my panel is excellent.

Same here - due arrival today - just got the email delayed until 18/12/20 - guess I'm going to just see what's turns up on other vendor's websites in the meanwhile - and if something does DELL can go **** themselves

It sounds like they've run out of stock, or are close.
I've no idea how popular this monitor is globally, but the specs and price point suggest it would be popular, this thread has reached over a thousand posts for example and this is just one forum.

Wow, considering my order date, I’ll be lucky to get delivery by February!

Maybe time to consider a different option..

So my screen was supposed to be delivered by today (ordered Oct 4th), but I just had an e-mail from Dell saying my order had been delayed till 18/12/2020!

WTF Dell?!

Exact same here, I'd just sent them a message asking where it was and why it hasn't shipped yet and then got an email update. I guess the sale price and discount codes have cleaned out their stocks and they're awaiting more?

No email here yet, but I suspected there would be a delay so I wouldn't be surprised to get notified.
I'm patient and in no hurry, it took me a year to make a decision so I'll wait it out.

Not sure you can be too harsh, given the price and the current global situation - You have to wait three weeks for bog rolls to come back in stock.

I'll be happy if it turns up in one piece with a tolerable backlight and no dead pixels!

I think now that the monitor is getting a lot of positive reviews on you tube that as you say their supplies have been sold. Just a bit like the rtx30 series . And of course where they are made in china they are probably not ramped up yet on production. So I was one of the lucky ones got mine in September and I have no issues with it.

New replacement monitor has arrived, very good service, just over 24 hours after reporting the problem.

Can't fault the overall Dell experience of replacement.

That's great! I am so jealous of you. I am still fighting with them, even with the whole "premium panel guarantee" and my monitor having a bright pixel they are still dragging their heels to replace my monitor.

What is actually wrong with your monitor for it to need a replacement..? Is it a single bright pixel problem...?

For me it was very very easy - it was dead. The power light came on but absolutely no picture. With no cables connected, apart from the power, the monitor is supposed to go through a diagnostics and POST. Mine didn't. In that sense it was so easy to show that it needed to be replaced.
In situations like I describe it is always going to be easy, comparatively, to get a replacement if the original is dead.

Originally it was excessive light bleed in the bottom left which makes any dark images in that corner invisible, I also have a bright pixel which falls under their premium panel guarantee so I should be given a new monitor. Considering I called exactly 1 week after receiving the monitor for a replacement and I am almost at the 2 week mark since my initial call I am getting furious. I am still waiting for approval even though my issue clearly falls under their warranty guidelines.
