New Dell IPS S2721DGF 165hz gaming monitor

Just another report here to say mines been delivered from Dell, Not upgraded for 16yrs...originally on a 24" Cinema Screen from Apple, which has served me very well...hopefully this goes for another 16 yrs...:)
The motion and colours are night and day compared. running it with a RX570 and it runs great.

The Monitor Lottery seems to be fair to me, as this one has no dead pixels or IPS glow in what I can see. :)
Dead Pixels would be a sucker punch....I have seen them years back on new screens, in the days where manufacturers used to say Less than 4/5 is an acceptable amount...:D
Was searching out monitors, then saw this thread which prompted me to buy using Student Codes.

Hi received my monitor yesterday, from a 10yr old 24" 60hz ilyama to this is incredible.
What would be the best way to calibrate it as i have never done this before?

Reviews recommend setting the Response Time to "Super Fast" on the monitor itself. In terms of calibration, there are paid options as well as some ICC profiles flying around (a quick Google search will get them), otherwise even the standard Window colour calibration is better than nothing.
 
Well been on the phone to DELL again - not impressed tbh - They've offered me compensation for the order screw-up but I pointed out i'd much rather have the monitor delivered as they had promised the first time I'd called them.

It's really starting to put me off ordering anything (either through my personal or corporate account) with them ever again

Yeah that doesn't sound right. I find DPD are usually really good - give them a bell and ask directly. Don't bother with Dell

Will give them a phone tomorrow if I don’t see it updated. It’s got to be an issue with dell as per usual. Half the time the tracking site doesn’t work either. Frustrating dealing with Dell.

that what I did.. response time to Superfast and the rest is standard
