New Dell IPS S2721DGF 165hz gaming monitor

Looks like some people on reddit are reporting they have received the DFGA instead of the DGF = seems the A is supposed to mean that the DFGA comes with a monitor arm

I just had a quick look at the manuals for both - it looks like they are the same item (including the stand) - only difference I have noticed id the manual for the DFGA now mentions NVIDIA compatible certified the DGF doesn't

other that that the manuals are identical

EDIT - done some further digging - looks like the 'A' is the European model listing compliance with European energy standards

Found this thread through Google as I have been looking at getting a new 1440p monitor with a higher refresh rate.

I asked Dell sales today what the difference was and they just confirmed it was a rename.

I don't have access to upload images at work, but did provide the Dell rep both links to the monitors. The transcript of the chat I have in email as well.

I expect that the dim pixel row was not addressed as this looks likely to be an admin thing only.

Just ordered one. Spoke to a sales rep via online chat, said that my student discount code wasn't working. She manually generated an invoice with the further 15% off, taking it down to a nice £331 delivered. ETA is Wed next week.... I'm not holding my breath!
 
Just pulled the trigger on an A model as well, if it arrives before the non-A that's still in production I'll cancel the order.

I got mine at £351 with the 10% code that has been flying around. Will report if I have the dim pixel line and have to return it, or if as I end up running at it a higher refresh rate that it is a none issue for me.
 
Ordered Oct 5th
Expected ship date Nov 3rd with delivery on 4th
Still marked as in production, been like that since around Oct 20th
Got email on 4th saying it was delayed but would be shipped on 5th arriving on the 6th.
Got email on the 6th saying delayed again and will ship on the 11th, still marked as in production.
Ill be on the phone tomorrow.

Curious have you been charged for it? I got charged in the middle of October when it was meant to be delivered.

I'm not expecting it to come unless I get a text/email from DHL/DPD (or whoever it is they'll use).
 
So got mine as a refurb. Looks brand new though. It's a June build date with a revision A000. Heard that there maybe a A001 revision, anyone got one of those?
If so any idea what the difference is.
 
I really want one of these but I am definitely not waiting till Jan for a monitor...Might have to settle for the LG or look at the ROG/Aorus options.
 
I've just pulled the trigger on the A model. They reckon the 11th for delivery!

Used code VCLOUD8 for 8% off at checkout, which was nice.

Will report back :)
