It's both - the DGF version is basically totally lost, and the DGFA version is now also being delayed... although some are turning up it seems.
I figured out the issue for me. Their site kept redirecting me to the US site, where I had no orders. Have to login to the site, from the original order confirmation link, in a private browser...
Sounds like I'm in for a fun ride

I took a chance on a Dell certified refurbished S2721DGF ordered Friday and arrived Tuesday sadly it arrived with a scratch to the screen but was otherwise brand new. I have a replacement arriving today so fingers crossed this ones fine!
I was tempted with the refurbs but knowing how Dell has a good dead pixel policy there is a huge risk that most of the refurbs have been returned due to dead pixels or backlight bleed, etc. I hope you get better luck with the replacement.

I ordered the A variant a couple days ago, it was meant to arrive tomorrow and has just been pushed back to 16/11/2020, lets see how this goes lol.
Might just sack it off and go for the LG 27GL850 to be honest...

I'm in no rush as it's most likely not a huge upgrade for me (and it's mainly as I'm planning on a 6800XT and currently have a G-sync only monitor). But I understand your frustration.
I'm more concerned reading news that Dell settle for lesser quality panels when there's a part shortage ... which is what I've gauged is currently happening
That the A variant? If so would love to know how it looks!

Delayed until Nov 16, 2020. If it's delayed again I'm cancelling and buying a different monitor from a different seller. Complete dumpster fire.
Yep, my Oct 12th order pushed back to 16/11.. The A order I placed a couple days back I have decided to cancel since the same is happening on that. Messaged support on the DGF order and been told its supplier issues on components. I think they have no idea when these components with arrive, and are feeding us an endless “best case scenario” delivery date for them literally turning up that day.
It shows 2721DGFA on the top right of the box. Looks like we may well get the A variants a lot quicker than the original. I hope these aren't some returned units that they are selling as new due to the shortage problem.
That's what I'm trying to determine!
I do have a feeling that once they get delivery on these missing components that the monitor flood gates are going to open and they will instantly deliver all orders with plenty spares to boot.. if I was to guess I would say it’s the LG panels that they are waiting on where they have a bunch of fully assembled monitors minus the panels sat ready.
Mine arrived today too.Well, they’ve arrived. I haven’t opened the boxes yet. But these mythical monitors do exist
Can you check if you see setup gysnc option in "Nvidia control pannel" when you use a display cable please? I tried on a HDMI but it doesn't show.
Good question, believe the manual doesn’t mention G-Sync certification for the A variant... I hope they haven’t pulled a switcheroo and somehow removed the option? Still supports AMD Freesync so should technically still work?
