New Dell IPS S2721DGF 165hz gaming monitor

Just ordered one of these, the A version.

Hoping it will be a noticeable upgrade from a Dell 1080p 144hz monitor, which has been fantastic really.

I sort of feel it was a necessary purchase to justify a potential purchase of a 6800/6800XT.

Not in any rush to be fair so not going to lose any sleep over it.

Fortunately I already have a system, I'm just upgrading.

Feel sorry for all the poor sods building from scratch currently.

Just got an email from Dell about delayed shipment, which is now scheduled for 13th Nov instead of 11th as it was promised to initially.

Hi all, for what its worth - I got my third delay email this morning - scheduled for this Friday (13th). Still showing as 'In Production'.

What that means is is that your order is literally in production. They're writing your order up.

Then they'll start the production of what you've ordered with that order.

I had an order on the site earlier, it was "Confirmed" pending "In Production" I guess.

So are you saying that my order still "exists" but they've just removed it from my account whilst it transitions to "In Production"?

I had the DGF on order and contacted sales I was advised that this was end of life and I should cancel the order. Due to the fact it was delayed three times I swapped my order to the DGFA if the hope that the sales person wasn’t telling porkies.

I can't see my order at all in my account even when added manually. Only way I can check is via their tracking option that is in the pop-up sidemenu. I would cancelled but the discount I got is worth a few months wait.

I am in the same boat as Axil and others. Odrered on 5th and the order has since gone with the wnd. I placed the order for the DGFA variant on 5th NOV and I am going to recieve it today. Fingers crossed its a good display. I think you guys should go ahead and order DGFA atleast this one is being delivered

I agree, I ordered a DGF on the 5th October. A few days before it was due to ship I got a delayed notification, until the 18th December. Saw mention of the DGFA variant, saw it was "in stock" took a gamble and ordered it on the 5th Nov with a ship date of the 9th. On the 7th I got a delayed order notification.
Here we go again I thought... delayed until 11/11. Sure... we'll see what happens on the 11th, no doubt another delay!
On the 8th ~11pm I got an invoice in my inbox from dell and the order was shown as shipped with tracking details.
It shipped out of the Netherlands, entered the UK on the 9th and sat in the Hub for a day, Last night it moved to shipped out of the hub and hit the delivery depot this morning, due to be delivered today by DHL.

Exactly same for me. I think there are multiple monitors in that shipment that arrived at the UK facility. So others should get theirs in time too.

Yup. The DGF variant is lost. Order the DGFA one.

I was saying in jest, that Dell had placed your written order into production, after which they'll finally crack on with getting the screen to which your order relates, in production.

I was taking the mick out of Dell for being utterly useless.
