I mean its really the odd few that have got "lucky" on the 280 price. And its because of a student discount offer code not working correctly. The vast majority are paying 16% off the offer price of £379 - so £321ish.

Still not ideal if you've been waiting for months. It was only the HUKD thread that alerted me to this monitor even existing.

Many of the Dell reps are giving the student discount with no proof that you are a student. It would seem they don't care once they get their commission.

I only started looking at this monitor last night. I got on to Dell webchat half an hour ago and asked what's the best price and was sent an email to pay €325(£291) which is great considering I'm in Ireland and VAT rates are higher here.

I think everyone needs to get onto the online sales rep chat and get a quote then cancel the old order or return if they get a good quote. It's too big of a saving to pass up on.
 
Just called Dell to complain and they basically said yeah sorry, the monitor is not actually in stock hence the delays.

Cancelled it and I'm done with this useless company. Time to order the LG.
 
They just rang me back and said I can have it re-ordered for £280 incl VAT lol. Guess game is back on, but the LG is on its way too, so I can actually use something in the meantime lol
 
Tried to get this at 280.80 on live chat this morning and was told 325 was best they could offer. I tried again about an hour ago and they done it for 280.80 no problem so it must depend who you speak to. It was someone called Taruni who done for 280.

It doesn't requite much haggling from what I can tell. All I did was ask for the best price. If you complain that you know many people have got a big discount recently there is a good chance they can do something for you.
 
I re ordered at £292 - l basically said others were getting it for 280.80 l want that matched - couldn't match it but offered 292 literally that was that - l will wait it out for that price.

I was tempted with the refurbs but knowing how Dell has a good dead pixel policy there is a huge risk that most of the refurbs have been returned due to dead pixels or backlight bleed, etc. I hope you get better luck with the replacement.

So the replacement has slight bleed in the bottom left it's only visible in a dark room with a all black screen so I'm happy and going to keep it. Just a shame I didn't save that much going refurbished and only have 1 year coverage instead of 3. Still don't get much more coverage with any other Samsung POS device I've purchased in the past.
