Sorry, just want to be clear before I dive into this.

Is it OK to use any type of thermal paste between the CPU and the IHS when you re-seal?

So I could use the same thermal paste on the CPU itself, re-attach and then use the same paste between the IHS and my cooler?

You could but liquid metal will give better results.

Pre-orderd this and had a missed delivery from RM today but as it's still showing as not in stock on the site I guess it wasn't the delid-die-mate 2. Must be that EK dual d5 CSQ top I ordered from Russia

The one piece of info I cant find anywhere reliable is do you have to do anything else when using liquid metal on the die ?

Heard rumours of using nail polish etc. but really would like a recommendation before messing with something so expensive!

Yes I only just found out. Not good I will try and get some info on why on Monday when our contact returns.

I had really wanted/needed one of these. In the end, I spent £400 on a flaming 3D printer just so that I could make a delidder and do it next day!

this is a shame, too long for me to wait its showing mid March now
i have been sitting on someones build for a little while with this the last thing to do.

Went with the printed version, tools etc all come from amazon today
