New essential Android apps thread

Trying Boat browser again, this time biting the bullet and buying the pro version for Firefox sync. Could be just me but it seems to sync with my Firefox bookmarks faster than the android version of FF :p. No adblock but webkit based browsers does feel a lot better. The floating tab is actually a pretty handy feature as well.

Boat now supports Firefox Sync?

Wait just a second!

Edit*
Only bookmarks sync. Bit useless for me then as Firefox is full profile sync (inc passwords).

It seems to have for a while, but requires you to buy the pro version to unlock the feature. Connects directly with the Mozilla Weave sync servers but only for bookmarks. However, it does order all my bookmark folders properly, unlike android FF which decides to reorder it in some odd order.

Is there a way to clear notifications on all my devices at the same time? I own an s4, z1, moto G and a galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. Its a chore to keep clearing notifications on each individual device.

That will depend on the app itself. Hangouts does a good job, when I read the messages on another device the notifications disappear. Same with other Google apps thinking about it. If only the FB app did the same... it keeps saying I have unread messages when I already read and replied to them...

Oh ok I didnt know its app dependent. I guess developers need to update their apps then.. I have pretty much identical apps installed on all my devices. But yeah when I clear something on one device it's still there on the others and its getting annoying

Does a SMS app exist like the Facebook heads thing? I know you can use the app but I'd rather a standalone app for texts. It's really good, especially when watching Netflix etc as you don't need to exit it.

I think there's quite a few apps out there that do this for all notifications. I just searched on the store quickly and found this one, but i'm sure there's others that might do it better.
