New essential Android apps thread

I see a lot of people using Accubattery these days, is it better than Gsam now? I'm a long time user of Gsam and wondering if I should be switching.

Does anyone with Nova Launcher know how to get rid of the white parts when you only have one screen? Like this:

Before the Google Now update, you could slide your finger left and right and have nothing appear. It bugs me now. :p

You mean the elastic notifer that you've reached the end when you try to swipe into another screen but there isn't one? That's standard Material design for Android in general.

Yeah, that's it. It wasn't there before the last Nova update though, or at least not white anyway. Is there a way that change it to black?

Technically no, but you can enable infinite scroll so there is no "end", and in turn no overshoot.

Nova Settings > Desktop

It works here, Enable Infinite Scroll, you no longer get the white overshoot, as there is nothing to overshoot as it's infinitely scrolling. You lose Google Now page, but you can enable edge swipe for that instead, which works perfectly fine.

For me it's an essential. I kinda copied another app I've used for years, because the development stopped about 4 years ago and there were some features I wanted. This was actually one of the main drivers for me learning to code again.

Adventures of Poco Eco free at the moment. Previously £2.79 but no idea what's its actually like to play.
