The dark Theme looks much better and I turned the white lettering up a bit.
I haven't picked on mrbell, he was just above me for a screen grab.

I imagine it could replicate it completely but someone has to have enough time to do it .


I really dont like the way it's saving draft posts every time I decided not to post something in a different thread...

It would be a piece of cake for an experienced XF skinner to replicate the old forum, or create a much more pleasing to the eye modernised version, still utilising the signature blues. It's not like OcUK don't have the funds to commission one.

The post drafts will get discarded after a certain amount of time. It can be an incredibly handy feature if you start to compose a post on your phone for example and decide to switch to a proper PC.

Jesus can't you put an announcement up to say the MM is locked? This is getting silly.

I'll also update the OP but as I'm not one of the devs, I can only comment on what I know to be fixed.

Ask someone with access to the admin control panel to use the built in 'Notices' system. You can then have a banner notice appear at the op of the page site wide, above this thread or just above threads in certain forums with info or a link directing them to a thread with more info.

I've got to say, for all it's visual flaws, it's very very speedy.

Videos borked in the Space and Astronomy threads. You fixed them in the YouTube thread so please fix them in these.

There are also video threads in motoring/motor sport/music that have been borked.

Please add to error list.

If peoples videos arnt showing its only a matter of editing there posts with the correct code

Have you seen how many videos are in the YouTube thread? There's a solution available looking at @UberTiger post above.

I think so. On a lot of forums I visit I know who the poster is by their Avatar rather than having to read their username. I find it much easier to browse.

That's what signatures are for. Custom Avatars look a complete mess IMO.

I find it odd to read a post, look down to the sig, then look up. I find it more natural to glance at the avatar/username, then the post, then move onto the next one.

Although it might be better to do it via the CLI so it doesn't time out. You've probably got too many links on here to do it from the control panel.

Dates do appear to be American despite timezone being UK .

I've been using the Watched Forums page instead of the index page now. Just watch the forums you are interested in, turn off the notifications when setting them up. Gives you a nice compact list of only the things you are interested in.

On the old system when I logged in, only threads that had been added to since my last visit came up as unread - now all unread threads are showing as unread, so I have no real way to see what is actually new since my last visit, unless there's a setting I can't see. There also appears to be no "Your last visit was.....".

Looks as though only an admin can do this so this has to be added to the error list and corrected by the people running the forum. It just can't be left like this.

All that thread was replaced on Monday night, I got to about 15 million other posts but stopped it due to load issues (I don't think it was that, but we were really struggling for a bit). I'll finish the rest today.
