*** NEW Fractal Design Case - Coming Soon ***

I really like the look of these cases :)

From that translated review, seems to suggest that they run a bit hot in the default setup. Would it be best to add another fan at the top of the case or another at the front?

What fans would you suggest? Obviously looking for quietness + reliability :)

I'm guessing any powersupply would fit?

Thanks.

Hmm looking at the pics in detail posted above, I think I will keep my Lian Li, the panel exterior finish does not look as nice as the brushed alu on the Lian Li even though the case costs £30 odd more than the Lian Li !

Where's the £30 from? They look about the same price. I assume you mean the PC-7F?

PC7FWB - I swear I paid less than I thought...turns out I paid just less than £90 and now the same case from the shop I got it from is £119.....

Oh well :p

Still, the other points stand!

No doubt. It's certainly a hard choice between the lian li and this, though the lian li seems better built, this case is a bit more subtle. That's something I don't often say about lian lis!

Thats what I thought too. Strangely difficult to find a quality, non-flashy, well ventilated case for less than £100 :)

Did wonder about the reference to it running a bit warm though. Pondering where an extra fan would be best put...

Well I'd put another in the front and one on the roof. If you're struggling with GFX temps, one on the bottom might help too! definitely need a controller for all that though.

like this case :) but...i need atleast 2 5.25 drives :( if it had 2 5.25 drives i would have sold my lancool k62 case and bought this! I need a card reader, fancontroller and dvd/blueray drive.

Looks like it takes two 5.25?

Still nobody knows if any of that hdd are is removable/detachable ? this case would have been perfect if it was a little bit bigger and the hdd chassis was removable like the eclipse.

Based on observation...

The HDD bays appear to consist of two single piece stamped sheets of steel which the HDD rails fit between.

Those two sides which make up the HDD rack are braced halfway down by another section of steel sheet probably to prevent bowing for whatever reason which could cause the drive rails to come out of their slots.

Fixed top, bottom and middle probably by pop rivets, possibly by screws.

Looks like tools will be required to remove the HDD rack and if you only want part of the rack out, one tool is likely to be a dremel.

'No' probably would have sufficed! :p

It's a shame they're not removable, I imagine airflow would benefit from them being open and having those front fans there.

Hmm, didn't notice the hd bay housings were so substantially made. I figured the gaps without a hd in them would be fine for airflow.
I'm not very knowledgeable about case airflow :) Anyone think that could be a deal-breaker?

Yeah it does take 2 5.25" drives. it's just the 2nd drive slot is also a 5.25 to 3.5" drive bay panel, take that out and you've got the two 5.25" bays.

Spot on! Just what I've been looking for. Spacious, good cooling options and an understated, minimalistic look, as opposed to most competing cases that look like they've been ploughed through a branch of Halfords.
