New iPod??

my 160gb classic has just shipped, and apple reckon it will be here tomorrow, but I find it difficult to believe as I'm assuming its shipping from outside the uk. Will have to wait and see.

Now I just need to go and tidy up my mp3 collection which should keep me busy tonight.

I think apple ship from the U.K. We got an applecare pack sent and i am sure it was in the UK, very most it was Ireland, but sure it was UK.

Mmm, these are sexy! Just sorting out my library at the moment. CoverFlow is definately better on the classics than it is on the nanos!

I tried out the classics and nanos at Regent Street this evening. I actually found the nanos less laggy overall, moving from menu to menu etc, and although cover flow may be slightly slower on nano i found it easier to move one album accurately like the click-wheel was better.

Overall i'm not sure the fancy ui really adds much considering it's so much slower than before.

Don't like the click wheel tbh, doesn't feel as good as on the older ipods.

It's all about the touch for me.

As for people complaining about the memory, how much was the old gen 8gb nano? Whats the point of having 30GB of memory if the battery won't last long enough to listen to 5GB of music?

because it means you end up transferring music/videos less, also give a wider selection. How does battery life come into it?

I can sort of see his point, but tbh, i agree with you.
To me, having ALL my music with me allows me to pick what i want when i want it.
Not what i want, if its on there, and if not, something else.

lets be realistic. We are moving at the rate that technology allows us. Be thankful the touch uses solid state memory. I know I would be.

Its purely down to the price of manufacturing solid state memory at the end of the day.

why? a lot of people would rather have a touch with 160gb storage. and there are now 413gb ssd drives, prices are going to come down very quickly.

After much thought (and I miss my 8GB nano

), I'm taking an interest/liking for the iPod Touch... small memory but no smaller than my previous nano and the wifi capabilities, bigger screen is tempting...

Talk me out of it! (I need the money for Halo3 and Guitar Hero 3!)

Girl Friend got here New nano on monday, they are really really nice.

I want the new interface and coverflow for my video

or i'll have ot upgrade to a classic.
