Yeah, just encode it into .mp4, drag it into iTunes, sync with your iPod and your away!

Use this free video encoder, Videora to convert to .mp4.

If you've got the DVD, best is to use Handbrake to convert it (there is an iPod option preset there) - thats if you're using OS X... if it's Windows, then I'm not very sure.

If you've already got decent .avi or whatever format (except RMVB), then you can do a quick convertion to .mp4 (with or without H264 encoding - better quality, smaller size - but takes almost 50% longer in time to encode) with iSquint - which is free :)

Hope that helps.

(Edited - This is pretty convincing I guess)

Check this out. Viewing head on.

Any chance you could post another pic after applying the 1.1.1 firmware ypdate. This seems to have fixed screen issues for me on my week 37 touch.

Had a play with one of these in the Apple store on Regent Street yesterday, it really is an excellent little gadget and makes the future look pretty exciting, but the small storage and battery life means I'd never buy one. I might consider the next generation models though if they can improve in those areas because the interface is great.

The reason for the small storage is due to the price of complact flash drives above 16gb. 16gb CF cards retail for around £150+ so unless CF prices fall over the next year which I cant see happening dont expect a much bigger version of the touch using CF unless they charge £350+ for it.

They don't actually use a single 16GB flash chip, it's actually 2 8GB chips ;)

which are still around £60+ so thats £120 16Gb of CF Storage then factor in the touchscreen etc. and profit margins it was a sensible decision to have a max of 16Gb this time round as any bigger would have made the device too expensive. I for one cant wait for my 16gb to arrive.

CompactFlash is a specific type of external memory card.

And Apple won't be paying UK retail prices for their memory!!

Ok true but I still think any more than 16GB and you would be putting the Touch into £350-£400 territory which I doubt many people would pay for.
