** NEW SAMSUNG 750D & 950D True 120Hz LED Monitors - PRE-ORDER! **

I believe the only difference between them is the 950D has a Dual link DVI port a HDMI and a DisplayPort where as the 750D just has the HDMI and DisplayPort.

So you must have a Displayport on your graphics card if you want to take advantage of the 120Hz on the 750D as I think the HDMI is locked at 60Hz.

Thanks. orded one. looking forward to monday now, never thought i'd say that with it been the weekend. :D

I absolutely cannot get TriDef to enable 3D when I run it with frame sequential selected. If I choose side by side it does what I'd expect, I turn the monitor to the same and I get a 3D image. With frame sequential selected, I get a "3D is currently disabled...." message.

Now that would all make sense if I had an Nvidia card but I'm using a Radeon HD 5850. Anyone else had such issues?

I updated the software that came on the CD and am using Catalyst 11.8 so the issue doesn't lie there.

The SA750D does have 2D-3D conversion. It is part of the HR3D engine which is identical on all members of the SA series. I think it could have been CNET who erroneously stated otherwise - but this was back in January when information was sketchy. And it works much better on some things than others and has a generally very weak depth effect - but is generally very smooth.

That is excellent news, thank you :)

Can't wait for the UK release of the S23A750D

I got the last one at the price of £549.99 and I am very excited. Can't wait for it to come through the door! My old NEC broke and I have been stuck with a tiny 17" for a couple of weeks already.

Hmm guess I'll wait for either the 950 to drop to £500 or wait for reviews of the S27A750D.

I know so many people that want the 950 but its priced way too high, especially when you see how cheap it is in Australia.

You'll be waiting a long time for it to drop to £500 I feel. The £549.98 was an offer for five units only just days after it had been at £639.98 due to a low number of available units. After all that it has now returned to £599.99. Given that the 750 is priced at £529.99 it doesn't really give a lot of scope for a price drop even if both were to be reduced.

Just to confirm, what exactly is the difference between the 750 and 950?

The base?

Aesthetics, price and their connections.

There's always HDMI Switchers. And their not expensive at all. They are Computer monitors first and foremost.

I use a 5-way HDMI switcher that I bought from where you get Kindles (!) from and the siwtch only cost 20 pounds, with automatic signal switching and a remote control for the times auto get its wrong.

just recieved the 950 today, just finished installed the drivers / Tri Def. How can i change it to 120hz? using a 5870 atm connected via HDMI when i go into ATI settings i does not give me the option or am i just dumb. :D

You won't be able to run 120hz at full resolution using HDMI as it doesn't have the bandwidth to support that.
