** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Sadly I have cancelled my G9 order too, it was taking to long and with no clear info as to when it would arrive :(
i hate to do this as I have been using OCUK for many many years, as I find them very good, I know its not their fault, but having ordered so early i was getting restless and with no clear order date in view I had no choice :(

ON a Good note, MY G9 is arriving TOMORROW :) :) :) cant wait to try this baby out :)

@SimonV6 Wait. You cancelled it, but it's arriving?

When did you order yours?

I ordered **4th June**. I'm hearing people later than me have got theirs sent out yet, but unfortunately no word on my end.

(Will update when it's shipped.)

Just spoke to OC on the phone. I'm 16th, but they're unsure when the next batch is.

I ordered 8th June but cancelled today as no idea when next batch in, no one seems to know, i ordered somewhere else today for delivery tomorrow, competition rules means I can't say where, sorry

Interesting. The one retailer I saw it with "in stock" says its a 120hz version. I know we can't talk about certain retailers. Shame, I wish I knew who you used.

I understand OC UK is a businesses. And talking about how competing websites inherently take away that business. But it does feel like ruling this sub with an iron fist because other businesses are more competitive, kinda defeats the point. This is a product that people preordered 2 months ago, with no known date of shipments, and zero communication from the company.

I wish the effort that went into banning posts from mentioning other retailers went in to assuring the consumers what's actually going on.

I feel the way to stop people ordering from another retailer is to show the best customer service, not by silencing people for uttering another company's name.

This sub forum is for members to discuss the product, if you need updates regarding your orders then you need to use the Customer Service sub forum at the top of the main page, that gets directly through to shop staff, staff don't always read these parts ;)

They deleted my post in a record few minutes so they obviously read it enough.

I'm gonna finish this because I don't want to spam this thread with more.

> deleted some parts earlier if it mentioned competitors,

I asked someone to PM me. I did not mention competitors.

> asking others where else to buy isn't allowed.

I realise this, my post was a direct critique of this policy regarding this specific product and it's delivery. (As this whole thread is talking about OC's delivery.) People are using this thread to talk about what's going on and trying to do detective work, because OC have sent zero emails or updates about this. So users are trying to work it out themselves. This has been a common theme for many many pages. My post was exactly in line with that.

As said, do not want to derail this convo any further. Hope you have a good day.

Edit: I'd also like to say this doesn't encourage me to buy from OC again, in fact quite the opposite.

Then all I will say is, for those that want updates for any pre-orders is to contact the shop directly.

No more competitor talk or asking others for info on where to buy will be tolerated.

Thanks :)

I’ve got one of these coming tomorrow too. Linus review was in my feed yesterday and when I saw it I ordered straight away. It’s replacing a dell 3415w so should be a good upgrade.

Thanks for sharing, I have same model and manufacture date (week 6, 2020)
How is the monitor for you? Have you noticed flickering? Does HDR work as expected or are you seeing washed out colors?
Really happy with it so far, colours are vibrant. Haven't noticed any flickering at all. I have played a fair few games of Warzone with some friends too, nothing negative to say about it.

Only thing I'd say is that you have to be pushing some serious graphics power to get anywhere near top end 240Hz. Im hovering around 110fps in Warzone and im using a 2080Ti.

Good to hear! Did you do some adjustments or are you using default settings? I am waiting for "professional" review to copy settings to my own, e.g. RGB, brigthness and contrast.

Completely agree with the horsepower, and really waiting for RDNA2/Ampere cards for that extra boost to enable 1440p, Ultra close/over 150 FPS at least. Then it's up to me to go from Ultra to High/Medium if I want over 200 FPS.

I disabled adaptive sync after watching Linus' review and some information from this channel. Also set the response time to "Fastest/MBR" and set the refresh rate to 240Hz (of course).
