** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

just off the phone with overclockers again regarding my g9 order to see if there was any further updates and when i mentioned the 2-4 weeks that had been quoted i was told it could actually be as much as 3 months as they more or less had no idea at all when they would be getting any stock again so its looking like i will be cancelling as this kind of response when you have just laid out 1300 on a device simply isnt good enough

I think they are having manufaturing difficulties based on issues being reportted by those who have them. Not a good launch at all though

Wonder if this is plaguing the G7 also. I would hope they figure out these issues anyway as the VRR flickering seems to be the only shortfall of an otherwise great monitor.

Im going to cancel through OCUK and just ordered the 32" through work instead.....theres a few of the 32" sitting in UK disti (and have been for a few days) just checked and they can deliver to me tomorrow...bit more expensive than the pre-order price, but I get it at cost so not so bad.

But no ETA and no idea where you are in their pre-order list and they take your money straight away isn't great.

I suggest you check the date on those panels there no doubt from batch 1 which have the most issues and are no doubt the reason for the massive delays

It seems to make sense now why samsung/OC/other Etailers had this "pre order" promo pricing, they KNEW they had problems with the units, they knew there would be stock issues, but they wanted the orders anyways, and they know once the first issues popped up, people are less inclined to cancel an order with a "good price". Some sneaky tactics right there :).

I for one am glad I kept my money in my pocket, lets see how this develops, if all the problems get ironed out or not, if they do get sorted then I intend to look around come Black Friday for a good deal.

Spoke to OC (husband would not believe me when i told him about the delays) The guy told me they dont know when they will be fulfilling the pre-orders for the G9 now and no longer have an ETA of stock/shipment.....Now the hub is considering cancelling and buying a different monitor until you can just buy the G9

I have the 27 inch version from the first batch in October 2019, the main flickering I get is around the 80 to 90 fps mark when the LFC (low frame rate compensation) was kicking in, because the 27 inch models for some reason have a freesync range between 80 to 240 which should be 60 to 240. This will probably be addressed in a future firmware and/or the upcoming nvidia driver.

We could be forgiven for thinking they do not even test these things before putting them up for sale, where is the quality assurance that the specs they quote and features they advertise are actually working as intended?.....

Bit of a shambles this launch - maybe not totally unsurprising due to circumstances but you would have thought Samsung would have got stock levels up to a decent amount before releasing.

I can only imagine demand has simply outstripped supply. There seems to be a lot of hype around these monitors.

Could everyone please stop with listing competitors and or their prices, this forum is run by and paid for by OCUK, any further breaks will result in suspensions and bans from posting in this sub forum.

Thanks.

Finally, an (English) 3rd Video arrives on Youtube, he seems like a character, to say the least :)

And a new Asia one here.

I wonder how many have canceled this week? I was #131 8th July order.
Hopefully, those that stay in the queue will see theirs arrive quicker now from OC on the next batch!
Still excited about this monitor, regardless of any issues with flickering or stock. Its gonna be epic!
