** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

You mentioned bezel separation and brushed it of as not a big deal as some were being fussy as it is only a monitor by my reading, worrying esp as its probably the most important part of a PC when it comes to visual quality.

art..... sure

And for clarification on my unit, the bezel issue is invisible even with all the lights off, its barely only invisible 1 inch from it trying to find it. Hardly a deal breaker, there a more important things in life to stress about.

Whatever enjoy your stance, either way I'm here enjoying my G9 during lockdown versus waiting on stock issues.

Again that is your opinion but you are saying others are fussy for not sharing your opinion, so again IMO you are encouraging Samsung to not give a hoot about QC.

I'm not encouraging bad QC, but I can acknowledge its part & parcel in this day an age, especially so of very complex new 1st time cutting edge technology like 1000R curve G9 if one preorders such items. Hello Note 7. I had 2. I even took samsung to court & win over 8 broken gen 1 curved screen galaxy watches.

But fact remains PreOrders for past decade is more like Beta/RC, its not good, but for us that love release date new technology rush in, the smart choice is wait 1-2 months in for any unseen issues to be ironed out, but do we no.

In this case, bezel issues occurred, but if I listened to all nay sayers I wouldn't have G9 until months or maybe never, where in reality I am here enjoying it 1 month later and loving it.

My advice buy late Sept but in the meantime I'm glad I have it now, that's just my personal choice with my own money, for everyone else make your own best decision its your money. But I for one am happy, especially with how difficult it has been over lockdown, G9 was just the boost I needed for WFH.

You keep saying the same thing but you are accepting poor QC, it is not part and parcel to accept faulty products that is your view and it is not cutting edge so no clue what you are talking about.

Maybe you do get it, you say its not cutting edge, and not going over & back anymore after this, but QC issues aside it is cutting edge!

Its got a 240 htz refresh rate, its got the worlds 1st 1000R, its 49 inch and its by far the best looking PC monitor in existence. That pretty darn cutting edge for 2020.

The only negative for me is no USB-C Kvm, now that is inexcusable and a right pain in the %$$#.

my G9 is still perfect thankfully, No excess bleed, no dead or lazy pixels, no flickering, no bezel problem, G-Sync now works well with 1005.4 firmware and 452.06 drivers.
Screen looks awesome, MSFS2020 is great on it and all my other games look great too.
The games that don't like 5120x1440 (to much stretch) work well in 3440x1440 if needed, loving this monitor and well worth the money i paid for it.

its a FA01 version btw, so an early one with NO problems :D

I returned mine because of the bezel issue. It was a perfect monitor besides that (no dead pixels, no excessive heat output etc). The area where the bezel separated was about 5 cm and you could only really see it with a bright background.....but it drove me nuts just knowing it was there and after 3 weeks of ownership I decided to return it knowing there was no stock to replace it with. Mine was bought primarily for work (video editing) and the curve was a little excessive for that tbh but for gaming it was a thing of beauty. But that little gap in the top left corner bugged the living hell out of me...I can understand how some people may just be able to live with it and that’s cool but not me, not for the cost of the thing. Ended up getting an LG 38GN instead (which is awesome too without any QC issues and it better for work) but when Samsung sort there QC issues out this will be one hell of a gaming panel.

I know we shouldn’t have to, but would it not be possible just to pop a bit of glue on the bezel gap? Forgive my ignorance... Mine isn’t due till Tuesday.
I actually looked at doing that but the gap is so narrow that it would be virtually impossible without then getting glue on the front of the bezel and screen.

I seen it last night and there was no comments, I will wait till I can trust it but I do not really see what damage it could do if malware injecting to GPU driver.

Just tried it and it broke my game lol... won't load now...driver reinstall fixed it but same happens again as soon as i apply it

He uploaded a new version to do with a G-Sync issue so may have got with the other version.

EDIT :This stops G-sync working.

I received my G9 on Saturday from Overclockers (ordered in June) and I've noticed today that I've got the bezel issue on the top left edge about an inch of the screen has come unglued. Should I return it immediately to overclockers or go through warranty through samsung?

Aside from the bezel though the monitor is awesome. No flickering issues to report at 240hz running on the latest firmware.
