** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Mine has just arrived from OC. Not checked the manufacture date yet. I've can't see any dead pixels or light bleed at the minute, I did notice when I got it out there are a load of fingerprint marks on the screen which I know aren't mine as I was too worried about touching the screen after seeing the videos of people cracking their screens when getting them out of the box.

Wonder if that was the QC going on ?

I received my G9 and ive got a 20mm light bleed too. For those that have noticed this - do you also have the black bezel at the top rear not clipped down into place properly in the center/rear of the display? I can get my fingernail in the gap (behind the screen where the black bezel meets the white plastic of the top of the monitor).

Those of you with June monitors with light bleed, like mine, that have no other issues at all (dead pixels, flicker, etc) do consider fixing it yourself with Sugru. It's really easy to do and cheap, and solves the issue completely. I know some people feel it's wrong that they've sent them like this and we shouldn't have to be performing DIY, but it's an option if you're not too fussed about that (like me).
As the rest of the screen is perfect, I figured I'd keep it and fix it myself :)

sobtanian - ive been told that the issue gets worse with time... so your fix may only be temporary. Also - do you have the slightly separating top bezel (check behind the monitor - mines not clipped "down" properly onto the white chassis). Its somewhat concerning. I though am still in two minds as the little light bleed i have doesnt annoy me at all - im just gambling it wont get worse if i keep it though.

32inch has a new firmware relead todya, version 1.007.1
unsure of changelog, but installed it now, i wasn't getting any issues that I was aware of, but like to keep up to date

I've left my monitor on all day whilst I've been out and there still isn't any light bleed from the usual place so far. And the first number after the last letter is 7 for my S/N

If it is 100% same as KR 1007 from days ago it will be washed out and over-bright by default (we never did get 1006 here but they did in KR).

Fixed nothing for me but 1st time I ever seen flickering in Nvidia Pendulum Demo but now its there all the time on any FW.

So, I have the bezel bleed issue (about 2cm wide 15cm in from the top left), but I have no flicker issues or dead or stuck pixels that I've found so far. The thing that I have noticed though, is that I can only enable g-sync up to 120Hz, it will not enable at 240Hz with the latest Nvidia drivers. It's running firmware 1004, so I'm guessing I should try 1006?

Edit: On the g-sync issue, I think it is enabled, at least, I enabled adaptive sync on the monitor at 240Hz and enabled g-sync in the Nvidia Control panel, it's just for some reason the pendulum demo won't let me enable it, so not sure what is going on there.

Hi all, long time lurker and I too received my G9 today.

FB01
Firmware 1001
2cm light bleed top left
Fingerprint marks all over the screen

Honestly wondering if OCUK have shipped out a previously returned G9 to me. I’ll be seeing if I can get hold of them tomorrow ...
