New Site Feedback

- Bug: menu categories disappearing from silver bar [I loaded the homepage and they were there - clicked Components and they were there, went back to the homepage and were gone (just the home icon present), go to the homepage in a new tab and they are still gone]
 
quite like the modern look although it seems someone has tried to use every gadget in a website programme.

a lot of it seems to double up. I think if you were to remove all the buttons logos etc. from down the left hand side and widen the page a little it would be simpler. as you can find your way with the buttons at the top.

maybe reduce the vertical banner widths on the sides and widen the main page?

This could be my issue at least, because that field was empty on my account information screen after the update.

I'm beginning to wonder if it wasn't copied because at the time my forum account and store account had different email addresses? I have since changed my forum email to match my store one, but it still doesn't give me the option for free delivery - I have posted in the CS section now any way.

Also I've noticed my account page displays the wrong payment method - it shows Paypal but when I go through to the change default payment method, Credit /Debit card is already selected and if I cancel back to my account page it displays Credit / Debit again. If I log out then back in it has reset back to Paypal again.

Thanks for the feedback . You are not alone and we are working on finding the cause.
 
I found that the OC main page would blank out completely and I found that it was down to Trusteer endpoint protection I had installed on my win 10 pc Uninstalled and pages are showing fine and Shovinus got my next day DPD free delivery sorted SO very happy
 
As others have said, not a fan. Really cluttered and busy. Whilst the old site wasn't modern, this certainly isn't either; the silver/metal-esque gradients on the nav bar and throughout are very 1999.

We are listening to feedback, things will just take a bit of time, and we will get there. :)
 
^ Indeed, it's quite lol worthy. I'm sure the alpha/beta testers (customers) will have things fixed for OcUK soon enough. God help the forum when that get's changed, this place is going to go into melt down :D

If I recall it may have been a B-Grade clearance item that made me discover this website back in 2008, I think it was a Abit IP35 Pro XE motherboard I got and the condition of it was very good, better than expected. That may have been the only clearance item I have bought from here because that section has been neglected for quite some time, although admittedly I don't check frequently enough whenever I have done though the section was pretty much bare.
 
Just noticed the redesign. To be honest it looks like something from pre-2000 in terms of design. Plus it feels so much busier than before, there is so much going on it's kind of overwhelming.

The old site looked dated too but at least it was easy to use and navigate.

You're pretty much echoing everyone else's opinion, they really didnt need to change it this way, it just needed bringing up to date and maybe made the categories more easier to find things.

Now it is extremely difficult to use and look at, and browsing the site from my phone gave me an even bigger shock.

Don't worry I didn't mean it in a bad way or anything :)

Basically the majority of users are not liking the look and usability of it, not to mention the bugs people have encountered.
