New summer transfer thread

I'd be chuffed if Chelsea don't get Alves. As for Berbatov, no thanks. Before we signed Tevez yes, but not now. Anelka please!

Yep, if that's who you're talking about:)

In other news, I see Neil Warnock is after the ICT job, hopefully they reject him;)

Belletti is pretty decent of what I've seen of him, a lot more defensive minded than attacking, unlike Alves, can't see him costing much.

My brain hurts today, ICT?

I assumed ICT = Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but it does seem like a strange one for him to be linked with.

People thought Richardson was promising years ago too. I'm just saying it like it is.

I still think Richardson is pretty good, he filled in excellently at LB during a tricky period for us. I just dont think he took what first team opportunities came his way at Man U very well. Hopefully at Sunderland he'll get more chances to show what he can do.

Yeah, true - but Gill has backed Fergie for funds when needed. So if he needs more, im sure he'll get it somehow.

I wasnt disagreeing with that at all - no doubt Gill will back Fergie to the hilt as always.

Unsettled Darren Fletcher is today set for crisis talks with Sir Alex Ferguson about his Manchester United future.

The Scotland midfielder will voice his concern and frustration to Ferguson over his lack of first-team action when he returns to Carrington from leading his country in last night’s friendly against South Africa.

The summer arrivals of Owen Hargreaves, Carlos Tevez, Nani and Anderson have pushed Fletcher down the midfield pecking order. Despite United’s injury problems,

Fletcher has failed to start a game this season and, surprisingly, did not even make the bench for Sunday’s Manchester derby when Ferguson selected youngsters Chris Eagles and Fraizer Campbell ahead of him.

With the transfer window closing at the end of next week, the 23-year-old has told friends that the time may have come to quit United.

Newcastle – who have already snapped up Alan Smith, another player who was on the first-team fringe at Old Trafford – and Liverpool, surprisingly, will lead the queue of clubs interested in Fletcher.

Sell him. We have better youngsters in the squad. This would be some summer if we got rid of Silvestre, Richardson and Fletcher all in one transfer window.

Do Liverpool want all the United rejects?

maybe Richardson turned them down :D

Henize was hardly a reject, and don't belive everything you read especially after what happened yesterday, it's clear that Man U won't sell anyone to Liverpool.
