Your right far better players have crossed Fergie and ended up out the door which is why i don't really buy into the goodwill gesture of naming him captain. Fergie may have named him captain for the West Ham game as a goodwill gesture but to name him captain for a game like the FA cup final i find hart to beleive had he not been valued as a first team player. Fergie kept saying that he felt Heinze was happy and it was just his agents pushing for the move and you haven't signed a replacement (unless Silvestre considered good enough) so im not convinced he was expecting him to leave.Linoge said:Ferguson was aware of his desire to move away this summer and that's why Heinze captained the team in the F.A Cup final and the last few games of the season. What he couldn't and never expected was his agent getting a move to Liverpool. I don't think Heinze was in his long term plans but he had no reason to completely shut the door on him when there were no real offers for him at the time. In my 20 odd years of supporting Man Utd, no player has gotten the better of Ferguson. Ferguson always wins. He knows how to deal with a lot of given situations, although this summer he was presented a different one, he was confident of his and the club's position.

And accept my friendly on that manager thing.
Like i said had it been just the West Ham game but a FA cup final? Also none of the others are captains, maybe Fergie saw him as a better leader.Linoge said:I seen the Heinze captaincy as a goodwill gesture, the way he waved to the fans at wembley also told me that he knew it was his last game for us. With the likes of Giggs, Scholes, VDS and Ferdinand in the team, why was Heinze handed the captains armband then?
Also did you write that message or automated?BaZ87 said:Like i said had it been just the West Ham game but a FA cup final? Also none of the others are captains, maybe Fergie saw him as a better leader.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle, as mentioned below your post, he doesn't even deserve that jobAndybtsn said:Belletti is pretty decent of what I've seen of him, a lot more defensive minded than attacking, unlike Alves, can't see him costing much.
My brain hurts today, ICT?

Utter carp, especially with aload of the papers saying it was a good performance.
It was far from it, nothing going forward, no1 willing to put it into the box hardly, there was no urgency :|
Ill kick mcclaren if he dares put joe cole on again, hes utter rubbish. Wright-Phillips showed him up as soon as he came on, was much better team performance then.
We dont half need gerrard back.

To nick a post off there "we've now got 3 RBs, 4 players who can play there and we still need a RB"...
You would have still needed a rb had you signed Alves, if only you signed Richards for £18m in January.JohnnyG said:There's 9 pages about Belletti on CFCnet since midday and hardly anything complementary about him, and I must agree it's a strange deal.

Bhoularouz is out on loanScarySquirrel said:haha. Well IMO we should sell Ferreira. G Johnson, well, I have never seen him really do anything worth while. If your're counting Bhoularouz, he isn't technically a right back is he? Plus he is rubbish. Belleti, well, I don't remember ever seeing him play, but he must be better than what we have now.

The general opinion seems that Alves is far better (and younger of course) than Belletti and he would've been our RB for a few years at least, with one reportedly as good as him just having cover would be ok.BaZ87 said:You would have still needed a rb had you signed Alves, if only you signed Richards for £18m in January.
