New Trafford

I could have produced a turd that looked more realistic. What on Earth is that!?

£2bn - exorbitant amount of money and it will obviously cost more than that.

Does somebody that isn't bias want to break down how any of this, makes finical sense. United are in a billion debt, will need to borrow another two (which will probably end up being three or four) for 25k more seats when they already have a backlash about ticket prices.

I get something needs to be done about old Trafford, but going from we can't afford the tea lady and free chip butties to we are good for an extra 2 billion debt seems off.
A new stadium massively increases the money coming in. More debt short term (details to be disclosed how exactly they're doing it) more income long term.

This is different. We will be in even more debt and the vultures that will fund this 2b will want their chunk of flesh in interest when it is built and up and running.

Football teams even the biggest are tiny compared to some sports teams in America. These investors are expecting a massive boom in the Premier League.

Nobody can be bias, but they can be biased

Does it tho, maybe in London but this is Manchester. Ticket prices are already high enough for united fans to be complaining about them, and regular tickets make peanuts anyway.

So you're relying on corporate tickets, even if there's demand the more corporate tickets you have the less valuable they are.

I just read something about them doubling revenue for the extra 25K tickets, I was just wondering how you maths that out, considering you probably aren't getting another penny out of 50k plus of the most loyal united fans, mainly because they don't have it.

circus tent

Ratcliffe will be in his top hat and tails centre ring

Martinez will be the lion tamer

Maguire and zirkzee the clowns entertaining the kids.

Eriksen and casemiro will do a balancing act

Onana will try to juggle balls but drop them all

No food will be avail as it wont have a canteen

In London, you can already get a ticket to pretty much any united game for not much over face value. Prices don't go up when there's more availability.

Can you because the cheapest price there is £117 a ticket and for the East Stand Upper i don't think you're paying over £70.

You've also got all the benefits of increased hospitality and that's where we massively fall down vs the others in the league.

It's a derby, on a scalper site a tourist would use if they fancied watching a game at old Trafford. The cheapest ticket I see is £99.

It hardly screams there is enough demand to increase prices enough to cover 2 billion in debt.

It should be pointed out that you're looking at tickets when our league season is over and has been for some time. We're basically safe from relegation and we're not threatening the Europe places. Of course there is going to be less interest now.

I actually don't mind it, but I don't think its appropriate for the Manchester skyline, though a circus tent certainly seems appropriate for Man Utd at present.

I just hope that zero tax payers money goes towards this project.

OK, so if you ignore the socioeconomic factors of the majority of local fans, selling an extra 25k tickets at a premium ALSO requires untied to be good on the pitch as well.

So the new stadium requires a couple of billions in debt to build and how many billions to hopefully build a team to play in it to attract the fans to spend the extra money... to make worthwhile. A foolproof plan.

It doesn't require it, but it will impact how quickly tickets sell. As an aside I looked at our home attendances this season and they're essentially maxed out every game bar the odd cup game. COuple that with the queue for season tickets and I don't understand why you think there isn't demand.

What do you suggest though as you seem to think you know better than the highly educated people making this plan?

I haven't said I know better or made a suggestion I'm asking why 100k other than it makes a good headline figure, I guess, and the United owners can BS that the extra seats will "pay for it"

It's a bit more difficult to sell that a new 75k stadium will make its money back without fleecing the existing fan base.
