Phew and there was me thinking he was a football manager :p

'It is believed Pardew became close friends with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and director Derek Llambias when all three were familiar faces at an exclusive London casino where Llambias was managing director.'

Anyone else hearing about someone on the board or just below Mike Ashley putting a large wager on Hughton being sacked days before? SSN were taking about this morning but I only saw it in passing as I was just leaving the house.

Wouldn't be surprised if that happened all the time, Rooney got his mates/family to place loads of bets before his new contract was announced. As if they're not getting enough cash out of the game, they've got to extort even more. Football is filled with lowlifes :( :(

Allegedly, whoever becomes our next manager will be given a 5 year contract but have little money to spend on new players

Why not just give a Hughton a decent contract, the fans like him, the players respect him and he did an outstanding job all things considered.

can't be pardew, surely? if so, why oh why would anyone make this decision? oh right, i've just remembered who pulls the strings

What an absolute joke. I can't express how angry/frustrated this makes me.

They said they wanted someone with more EPL experience so they've appointed someone who was sacked from West Ham, got relegated with Charlton and has been sacked from Southampton... words fail me.

If Pardew does come in this has to be my lowest point in supporting Newcastle for the past 30 years.

We had a manager who we liked and respected even tho we had some crap performances this season but when you dont have much money to spend what do you expect?

If Ashley had of given Hughton lots of cash in the summer and we were in the bottom 3 right now i could have understood his sacking but its all gut wrenching.

Never have i hated a Newcastle owner as much as Ashley...

Did he?

Have you got a source for this?
