If Owen Brown and McParland are returning then Benitez is. They were very much Benitez's men when he was at Liverpool, possibly more so than some of the Spanish staff he bought with him.
As for the first part, no I wasn't being argumentative. I was genuinely interested in these reports. As for what beIN's fee might be reduced by and what the Saudi's might pay, it's all wild speculation and guess work. All I'll say is that for beIN to even consider it, it would need to be massively beneficial to them - how much that equates to is anyone's guess. There's still the issue around a Saudi broadcaster owning PL rights - the PL would have to be satisfied that whoever the broadcaster is has no ties to PIF but then again, if the PL approve the takeover then it would suggest that the PL aren't linking PIF to the alleged crimes of the Saudi state as a whole and therefore may not link PIF with any broadcaster.
If you wanted me to guess then beIN will keep the whole rights for the next 2 seasons (whether the Saudi's allow beIN to sell in Saudi is anyone's guess) and then in 2 years the PL will break up the middle east rights allowing an independent Saudi broadcaster to get the PL rights in Saudi (and possibly other MENA countries) but also allows beIN to keep a big chunk, keeping beIN onside. All of this is a guess though and would require the takeover to happen, the Saudi's to launch a TV company that could rival beIN, the PL to break up the MENA rights and there to be no conflict of interest issues.
