Just wondering what the Mags on here think of the announcement today?
I'm not sure to be honest. I sort of think it's good, then I wonder what the point is?
I'm sick of having a superb stadium coupled with a crap team. Whats the point in expanding if we're just going to have a mediocre mid table team every year?
The last redevelopments were spurred on by events on the pitch. Whats the reason now? I can see us struggling to fill a 60000 plus stadium if improvements aren't made to the team.
Surely it would make sense to build a team which is consistently top four material before you get the club into more debt?
This season has been rubbish. I'm normally able to take some good points out of most matches, but after this weekend I actually think it's time for Glenn to go. He seems unable to motivate the players, and its as if they don't want to play for him. Has Shepherd got money to burn with a new manager this summer? Or will we get a trophy signing (Owen style) to appease the fans instead of buying some defenders?
Do any of you still think Glenn is the manager to take us forward?
Is the stadium expansion just Fat Freddy's way of selling season ticket renewals?
I don't believe we are a big team anymore. Does anyone think we are? (awaits sarcastic comments from other forumites!
)
Anyway, just wondering what the other Mags think of the situation, as I find it very depressing at the moment!
