News on Wife (reason for being away for a day)

How old are you Calranthe?

Are you young enough to allow time to heal things, and have a life again in the future?

If so, then this I hope would give some cause for optimism, as would not having someone you care about suffering and in pain. I'm sure to the layman this will sound sick, but I recently lost my father to cancer, and in the end I was actually grateful he passed so quickly, sparing him the agony and misery he was in.

I hope you can build a new life again, and make your wife proud. I hope things work out and you get the karma back for all the care and effort and dedication you gave for your wife.

I am 48, I plan to reply to all the messages in this thread, take up all the offers of contact and advice in the coming week.
For now I am trying to get the house in order, preparing for the people to fetch the medical equipment.

I will give more details once I have them.

Thank you.

Don’t feel obligated to do anything for anyone on the forum. If it helps then great, but no one here needs you to do anything for them. Right now focus on you and sorting your affairs. The forum can wait. Do this as a relief but not because you have any obligations. We will still be here bickering, laughing, trolllong and helping others when you’re ready :)

Very sorry to hear my friend. I lost my dog a few weeks ago, my very best friend. Whilst I know it's not quite the same, losing something or someone you love is heart breaking. My world isn't the same without Sam, but I guess all we can do is carry on the best we can and remember the love and amazing times with them.

Keep busy but look after yourself, all of us will always be here for you.

Can anyone recommend any series like scrubs as in good quality comedies but with a bit of depth and serious undertones, I do not even mind if it is a cartoon, actually any ideas on things to watch that will keep me distracted.

Cartoons: Big Mouth, Bojack Horseman, Rick & Morty
All a little more depth than they appear. Heads up that Bojack's overarching theme is of isolation and self-destruction - may or may not be what you're after.

For live action, I like Glow, it's a Comedy-Drama. The Good Place is more of a straight comedy, albeit a high-concept one (so might be similar to Scrubs in that respect (?) - I never watched scrubs though).

Mate I've just read through this thread and my heart goes right out to you - I'm nearly 48 myself, we are still so young I feel and to have this happen at such a young age seem so unfair. Please accept sincere condolences from a stranger and know that from reading this thread you have lots of people thinking of you and wishing you the best at this time. I won't drop any trite paltitudes, but I will ask you please keep us up to date on your coping and your progress as you have a lot of stranger/friends interested in your wellbeing at this time.

On the TV note, I quite like Lucifer, you might too.

Best

Atypical on Netflix is quite enjoyable for me so far.

Good bit of humour, emotion etc.

Also seeing as you are very into your games, check out an old series I used to watch back on Xbox called "The Guild" Its a bit dorky, but some genuine funny bits in there.

Okay okay now you would think life would give me a break, just a tiny one, I mean stuff happens and we deal.
Today I went for an colonoscopy (stick the camera up the butt) because my Red cell count is low, well wait for it...
It looks like I have bowel cancer, samples have been taken place has been marked with dye so that surgeons can have at it.
They did an emergency CT scan of my body just in case it has spread, hopefully we caught it early.

But seriously ??
